I upgraded from Greeting Card Factory to Greeting Card Factory Deluxe 2. The interface is updated to incorporate Windows XP's "user friendly" style. What's great about this program is that it's easy to use, but incredibly powerful. It includes two cd's filled with additional graphics and clip art images that you can use to customize your projects. In addition to greeting cards, you can make return address labels, pop-up greeting cards, banners, personal or business stationary, party favors, and the list goes on. I haven't tried the other major greeting card software packages--simply because this one is fun, easy to use, and has more than enough to tap into my creativity. My friends are always impressed when I send them cards from this software because it has a personal touch that store bought cards cannot offer. Highly recommended.

I was considering both Hallmark and American Greetings software, but the reviews I read about compatibility issues with Windows XP scared me off. I am so glad I chose this one. Absolutely no trouble to use, the graphics are excellent, and there are so many projects! In addition to all kinds of fully customizable cards, you can make gift tags, labels, envelopes, gift bags, craft items... The list goes on and on. I made 2 cards and a gift bag the very same day I received the software. This will pay for itself in no time.

I was very disappointed with this program. Sentiments were uncreative. The art was pretty primitive. The advertising offered much more than you get: pop-ups consisted of only one kind of simple pop-up; I expected more. It touted store-quality cards, but Hallmark has no comptetition here. There are hundreds to thousands of sentiments for each catagory, but after going through a couple hundred of each I only found a handful I would use and those were unimaginative. The Easter catagory was all bunnies and eggs--no Easter symbols or greetings at all. If I could delete the parts I'd use, I would end up with about 25% of this program useful to me. Also I had trouble opening files on disks 3 and 4. The file icons appeared, but when you clicked on them most were empty. And I couldn't open any of the font files. I did like the special effects for text, the craft catagory, the stationary set, and photo editing. I would not recommend this program unless it is drastically improved. It's way too expensive for what you get.
