I bought this video set because I wanted to learn more about import/export. It is a 'home movie' of the author speaking in a classroom of approx. 10 students. Let me review the good points first:
1) the video contains alot of good 'basic' information like terminology of the business, & sources to find business contacts

Now for the bad points:
1) the production value is terrible... some guy shot this with a handheld camcorder
2) sound is almost nonexistent because they are in a room next to the San Diego airport & every 2 minutes a plan goes overhead and you can't hear the speaker
3) the speaker uses a dry erase board, and his pen is out of ink so you can't read what he's writing
4) the speakers presentation is stiff & boring, and he fails by not giving personal stories or anecdotes to illustrate the the 'ins & outs' of the import/export business... you won't be motivated to do anything after seeing this video

This four hour instructional video program is on two VHS tapes. The speaker is not a movie star, but he is an experienced practitioner. This is a live training seminar/workshop by international trade specialist Dr. Carl A. Nelson. This video contains easy-to-understand answers to the most commonly asked questions about such matters as: How do I start an import/export company, and how do I price and negotiate the sale of my products?
Doctor Nelson does an excellent job differentiating his video program from others by explaining that it is not enough just to understand exporting. To be successful you must grasp your trading partner's problems; therefore, you must understand both importing and exporting.
