I was moved to purchase this book based on all the hype on Jane Velez - Mitchells' show on HLN. Leading up to the release she talked frequently about all the "bombshells" that hadn't been talked about before - all the new information that had never been heard before. I'm guessing she must have forgotten to include them here because the book is simply a rehashing of Jodi's life and the trial. Everything in this book was already discussed on every news show out there. There was absolutely nothing in this book that wasn't already public information.

Jane Velez-Mitchell claimed on her show that this book was full of new information. Unfortunately, there was nothing in this book that I did not already know from watching the trial and her show. I would not recommend this to anyone. It was a waste of money and my time

I, like so many others, was intrigued and obsessed with the Jodi arias trial. I was hesitant to buy a book that would just re-hash everything I has already heard and seen during the trial and via media. I really enjoyed the first half of the book which gave greater insight into j.a.'s life and personality disorder. The second half, based solely on the trial, was a tedious re-hashing. I did like how Jane put the whole relationship, murder, and trial into chronological order and wrapped it up into a neat re-telling that flowed. Nicely done. I also appreciated the research done on the Mormon faith and doctrine, most of which was accurate, though I'd like to point out that the quote they attributed to define the Law of Chastity is not found in the book of Mormon at all but rather in a pamphlet entitled "for the strength of youth" published by the church and accepted as core doctrine.

I'm not impressed. I guess I should have known better, it is written by one of the talking heads from HLN and the forward was written by Nancy Grace. It is basically a written version of the same type of stuff from tv. Yes, I agree, Jodi is a horrible human being. Yes, I agree that Travis shouldn't have been murdered. But, Jodi isn't evil incarnate and Travis was not a saintly martyr. But, that's the tone of this book. I wish the author had toned down the black and white and tried to find the nuance and shades of grey. That would have made this book a lot more interesting and not just a rehash of the Jane Velez Mitchell Show. For instance, in my reading last night, Velez Mitchell was describing the murder and actually wrote that "Travis stood valiantly at the sink while Jodi stabbed him in the back." Valiantly? The only thing missing from her description was that Travis had a heavenly glow as he looked to the sky like the martyr Stephen and saw Jesus sitting at the right hand of the Father.

Another issue in this book, yes, we know Jodi is a liar. She lies, that's her thing. But, does the author have to constantly remind the reader of this? She tempers every quote from Jodi with a comment of the sort that she is a liar or has trouble with the truth.

Could the author not have tried to find some original insight into this case? I'm just very disappointed in the book.

It will probably interest those who didn't follow the case, but won't be much use for those who are trying to understand Jodi.

If you watched the trial or read about the case, then this book is not for you.....if, however, you were unaware of this trial then, by all means, go ahead and pick it up! It was a very easy read and I thought that it portrayed everything I saw on tv accurately. I was disappointed that there wasn't 'new' information or some new insight on why she did such a heinous crime, of course, since the trial isn't over, I suppose that could be asking a bit much. I downloaded this book to my ipad and the pictures did not come out, so that was kind of disappointing too!

I just purchased this book Im at 60% of it and its like Im reading the trial and story that I just watched. Dont waste your money.. You are just reading the entire Jodi & Travis story all over again if you were a avid follower on the trial. It repeats the whole interview we all seen on TV the whole book is all we seen on TV, Im upset I wasted the money. On the other hand if you didnt follow trial read it.. If you did dont waste your time or money.. Nothing new at all. A total dissapointment for the trial followers that watched daily.. You will learn nothing new. Sorry Jane love your show but the book was a joke for the people that watched the trial. Great read for th epeople who didnt follow the case like most of the world did

JVM offered no secrets or new tidbits. Not worth the read, verbatim from the trial and not the "bombshell' I was hoping for.

The Jodi Arias case shocked the world and kept people glued to every detail of the trial. If you had any doubts Exposed by Jane Velez Mitchell will certainly lay those doubts to rest. This book is a page turner, gets to the nitty gritty, and tells it like it is, even if Ms. Arias didn't. The Secret Life of Jodi arias offers up behind the scenes information about a cold hearted killer that should be Exposed.
