Geraldo has a special kind of courage. It's not tangible or ever really evident, but trust me, it's there. He hides it behind his mustache. A heart and a soul that aren't bound by spiritual limitations, Geraldo isn't really a credible broadcaster, but I defy you to tell me that he's not oozing with Latin charm ... or is that man sweat?

Reading Geraldo's life in a few hundred pages over a few days made me as breathless as a non-stop roller coaster ride.

His passion for fighting for the rights of the little guys was inspiring and makes him a real life hero. He went from seedy lower Manhattan to scaling the heights of the rich and famous - and those were just his many sexual conquests. His personal life alone was riveting.

But his professional life - wow! He took enormous professional and personal risks, never caring about his personal safety (but always caring about his crew). Never cared what others - especially his bosses and colleagues - thought. He created innovative storytelling copied by many of his broadcast journalist competitor/critics.

A fascinating history of t.v. news and opinions of contemporaries like Barbra Walters from the 70's to the 90's.

Incredibly and refreshingly honest -- 10 stars for enjoyment. Bravo, Geraldo!

Geraldo is off-putting to many Americans to put it mildly. But that is because, like many extremely intelligent people (I'd say geniuses, but that might be a little strong) he is misunderstood. He wants to help people and is strong-willed. He knows what he wants and is vocal about it. That scares some people, but is these people would read his autobiography, thye would see the real Geraldo. The one that puts family ahead of his career; the one that spent two months in the Mediteranian with his wife and children and almost died (a harrowing and inspiring chapter). This novel paints Geraldo in an entirely different light than his public persona. And when he "exposes" that light you can read how good a person he really is and what Geraldo is really about. Hope for the future!

This is a really good autobiography. It gives a lot of detail. Some people want juicy details and facts. It was a little too much for me. I'm not that interested in someone's personal life. But I guess that is what an autobiography is for.

On the other hand, this person is a caring and dedicated person who has done a lot of good. He is admirable for that.

He has also been through a lot to get to where he is.

If you are the type of person who really likes to pry into personal details, this book is for you. It gives personal details and facts out to you on a silver platter.

Geraldo Rivera shows why he's become a fixture of Americana. He's truly an amazing person.
