Very eye-opening, convincing, and convicting. Virtually every time I open this book, it gives me a wakeup call in some area of my life and faith.

For example, here's a quotation from Chapter 3, The Wellspring of Deception . . .

"Deceit usually only succeeds when the subject is ignorant of the trap. Thus false information and deceit go hand in hand. When the subject is informed of the nature of the deception - and believes the truth - the deceit is exposed, and the trap MAY be thwarted. But when the deceit is a very attractive idea, one which the subject wants desperately to believe (as when the alternative is extremely unpleasant), the subject may still choose not to believe the truth.

If you want to be one of those people who'd rather follow the sometimes difficult truths of Scripture rather than the inviting deceptions of man-made theological doctrines or unbiblical church traditions, then this book will help.

If, on the other hand, you'd rather stay in your comfort zone and have your ears tickled by teachers who will tell you what you want to hear, then this isn't a book for you.

"Thank You" to the Hamricks for their hard work and their thoroughgoing commitment to YHWH and to His Scriptures.
