Book Description

The Bible says that rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and Rick Godwin believes that rebellion is rampant in the churches today. Satan is using some unfamilar spirits to divide and destroy families and churches. Godwin's teaching exposes how the devil is using the sin of witchcraft, and how you can defeat the enemy and his evil plots. Ideal reading for pastors, church leaders and anyone else interested in knowing what the Bible says about the satanic scheme to bring down your church.

As a Pastor I am ordering several more copies to give as required reading in our church. Godwin deals with the spiritual root of the outward expression of people in church . This is not a novel or romantic book for casual reading. If you always wondered why certain people you know act like they do , you will find excellent insight from this seasoned minister of the Gospel.
No it is not about witches and brooms and cauldrons , but it is about manipulation and control and power seeking people and how to deal with them in your church and your personal life.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very timely, informative, and on target resource. November 30, 1998
By A Customer
For those who haven't read it and think (or expect) this book is about witches and either true or fictional witch related stories ...wrong!
It is a book about witchcraft though! It's about the kind of witchcraft that happenens in Christ professing, evangelical, "we don't have that kind of thing happening in our church" churches.
Anyone who thinks that their church is immune to this type of situation should read it. Anyone who wonders why there always seems to be division, disunity, and conflict in their church should read this book. Anyone who wonders why their church just seems to be "spinning its wheels but not going anywhere" should read this book. Anyone in a position of leadership, authority, or influence in a church should make a point of reading this book.
Anyone who thinks that the words "manipulate" "dominate" and "intimidate" have an strangely familiar ring to them - in relation to activities in their church should definitely read this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Read September 24, 2012
I spent time reading the reviews prior to writing this one. As an Evangelical Christian who believes God's Word is infallable, I was compelled by Godwin's views. I was troubled by the reviews from self professed witches that read the title and took offence and indicated that Godwin was on a witch hunt similar to that in the 1700's. I question if they even read the book. Perhaps it would have been better if the title of the book was something like Exposing stop the antics of those who are getting caught up on the word witchcraft, since most Christians know that Rebellion is witchcraft. The point of the book is to show us the underhanded rebellion and manipulation in the church, your family and in your life, exposing it for what it is, making you aware of what to look for and helping you know how to deal with it. The book is broken down into sections and it is a breath of fresh air to see and know that Christ already dealt with the root and we can walk in the knowledge of the freedom. This is a must read for any Evangelical Christian looking to gain information and knowledge and is scripturally supported throughout. I have 3 people who wish to borrow this book from me that will find the same encouragement and wisdom that I found.

Learned a great deal about dealing with this spirit in the church. We have to be very careful what we accept from the pulpit and weigh everything against the word of God.

This book explains things that Christians wonder about, why some people act the way they do. For those that minister to hurting people this book would be helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book April 15, 2008
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is a wonderful book on a topic you rarely hear discussed or taught about in the church. It will help you recognize spirits of witchcraft in operation and their roots, and know how to respond. Examples even in family relationships were given that were very helpful. This book is written in a very positive and encouraging way considering the subject matter. Highly recommended for every Christian.
