More About the Author

Cynthia Hickey has been making up stories since she was a child. How fortunate that she finally found an outlet for her, uh, fictional tellings.

Multi-published and Best-Selling author Cynthia Hickey had three cozy mysteries and two novellas published through Barbour Publishing. Her first mystery, Fudge-Laced Felonies, won first place in the inspirational category of the Great Expectations contest in 2007. Her third cozy, Chocolate-Covered Crime, received a four-star review from Romantic Times. All three cozies have been re-released as ebooks through the MacGregor Literary Agency, along with a new cozy series, all of which stay in the top 50 of Amazon's ebooks for their genre. She has several historical romances releasing in 2013 and 2014 through Harlequin's Heartsong Presents, and has sold more than 300,000 copies of her works. She is active on FB, twitter, and Goodreads. She lives in Arizona with her husband, one of their seven children, two dogs and two cats. She has five grandchildren who keep her busy and tell everyone they know that "Nana is a writer". Very well written. Enjoyed the suspense and also Christian views expressed. Thought the author did a good job and was well acquainted with Hawaii, good descriptive writing.

As I have said with her other books, I thoroughly enjoy Cynthia Hickey. I love the sense of humor she uses in her writing and I'm always anxious to turn the next page.

Believable characters. Love story and mystery all rolled into one exciting book. Also loved the setting. Hope to read more about Molly and Lance.

I had high hopes for this book after reading several other books by Cynthia Hickey. The setting of the book was great--on board the ship and the murder elements kept the book entertaining. However, by the end of the book the reader is left not even understanding what really happened, what the motive was behind the murders and more specifically exactly how the last murder victim and the thief really tied in together. Thus, I can not rate it higher. Definitely not as good as some of her other novels.

I have read the other books in this series and really liked them. This story had a potentially excellent setting and used that well at times. I felt at times that i must have missed something "where did the money come from? Who put it there? How were the people connected?" One scene turned from day to night. All that being said I would recommend the book to someone reading the series or someone who likes a slow quiet read. Good characters and entertaining just not up to Hickey's usual quick moving riveting stories. It is a good story. You won't regret this quiet Christian read. Could it have moved quicker, definitely and more attention paid to detail.
