Do you like Parisian or Viennese elctronica, Like soulful hip-hop?,

Not too well known...but that's probably why they're so gooood. if you're into paris style jazz-house, Viennese trip-hop like K&D, and also enjoy soulful funkalicious rhythms, you _will_love_this_. Troublemakers give you a mild dose of each, at times making you want to get up and dance, at rarer times making you flip like with a good Funkadelic record, and all other times, just making you feel cool and thankful to have found these guys. It's a refreshing album, and definitely recommended. A decent enough progression from "Doubts & Convictions".

Clearly they know what sounds good,

Since the Troublemakers' first release "Doubts & Convictions" I've eagerly waited a follow-up album. "Express Way" is the album I've been waiting for and it is well worth the wait. Produced with characteristic style the Troublemakers blend funky grooves, hip-hop, great beats and spoken word into something remarkably fresh. The Troublemakers clearly know what sounds good. Speaking of hip-hop on three of the tracks none other then the Gift of Gab of Blackalicious throws down the rhymes. If you are looking for something fresh, something interesting and something worth hearing check out "Express Way" by the Troublemakers.

I am a huge fan of the previous Troublemakers album - Doubts and Convictions. However this album is quite a departure from this style. Most notably, almost half of this album contains rap / hip-hop style tracks. If you are receptive to hip hop and rap you will like this album. If you are like me, and can't stand it, you may be disappointed.

Troublemakers - Express Way,

This is a powerful album. At first I wasn't quite sure about it but it is beautfully executed. Although their first album might be more catchy this one is more dense and ofers much more substance.

Troublemakers' "Express Way" CD was a bit hard for me to swallow at first until one night I actually listened to it. This amazingly fresh follow-up to "Doubts and Convictions" is full of jazz, funk, soul, R&B, hip-hop and rap (the tolerable kind) that all works well together. A bit more adventuresome than the Troublemakers' first outing, "Express Way" breaks new ground in electronica music. Fresh tracks like "All We Love", "County Farm", "Call and Respond" and "Race Records" utilize esoteric samples with excellent musical production. Other cuts that showcase impressive vocals and outstanding musical arrangement are "Highway Blues", "Lemon", "If You Arrest Me" and "Lester Young In Eternity Blowing His Horn Alone." "Express Way" is definitely a CD worth checkin' out! Highly Recommended!
