Editorial Reviews

Review

"A marvelous book that puts new and expanded meaning into words like discovery, fulfillment and empowerment. The discovery of inner truth and the ability to let it out are vital to fulfillment and this book will help you find them." -- Richard Fuller, columnist, "Metaphysical Reviews"

"A rich, informative, and inspiring road map to inner joy and a life of celebration. Joy Lynn Freeman shares her heart and wisdom in a way that will uplift you and change your life if you put these great ideas into practice." -- Alan Cohen, author of Dare To Be Yourself and The Dragon Doesn't Live Here Anymore

"A unique and excellent book in which Joy Freeman courageously expresses herself from deep within her own truth. She joins the reader creatively and passionately in their path towards self-discovery and self expression. I found the exercises, personal examples and other tools she used to be particularly valuable. She makes the "path of truth" an exciting adventure." -- Irv Katz, Ph.D., President of International University of Professional Studies

"A valuable contribution and a pleasure to read. Use it, enjoy it!" -- Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks, authors of Conscious Loving and Ten Second Miracle

"A valuable guide to becoming a more loving and creative person. It offers simple, yet dynamic exercises to help overcome blocks to achieving your highest potential." -- John Gray, author of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus and What You Can Feel You can Heal

"Express Yourself takes you by the hand and heart and leads you through the darkness of past wounds and limiting beliefs into the loving light of understanding. If its contents were known by everyone the world would be a better place in which to live. I highly recommend it." -- Leonard Laskow, M.D., author of Healing With Love

"In her book Express Yourself, Joy Freeman provides a valuable guide for cultivating creativity and expressing wholeness. I highly recommend this work to those who are seeking the fulfillment of their soul's deeper purpose and are following the prompting of spirit in their daily lives." -- Carolyn Anderson, co-founder of Global Family and co-author of The Rings of Empowerment

"Most of us having been taught that self criticism is virtue, think that which is most negative to be most true-that is a lie. Joy Freeman knows that what is most true is experience rather than some judgment about experience. Her book is about getting beyond judgment and contacting experience. Joy is the willingness to face feelings and become a creator." -- Brad Blanton, author of Radical Honesty and Radical Parenting

"The more we know our truth and are able to express it responsibly, to ourselves and others, the more our lives begin to creatively express who we truly are, rather than some idea of what we should be." Thus begins Express Yourself, a marvelous new book by Joy Lynn Freeman that puts new and expanded meaning into words like discovery, fulfillment and empowerment.

Express Yourself is a journey to truth, your truth. Joy Freeman writes "I propose that what we all have in common is the desire to be connected-connected to that which is the essence of life and to feelings of love." This path leads to a life that fully and freely expresses more of who we are" A worthy and surely enlightening goal for all of us, don't you agree?

To facilitate this, Freeman brings years of experience to this wonderful guide book as well as the tools and exercises to help us find betterment. Express Yourself, in the final analysis, is an excellent means to "fully live each day and every moment in co-creation and concert with our divine connection to spirit." And that is, as we know, interconnected with our ability to express ourselves and live a more creative and fulfilling life.

Joy Freeman is perfect example of someone who has discovered her creative self. Not only is she an author, lecturer, teacher and workshop facilitator, she now has a delightful and soulful album called Let It Shine. Fulton Tashombe did the music while Dr. Freeman created the lyrics with words and themes that correspond with the book. The 17 songs include titles like What Do You Feel, and Learning and Growing, to Feeling Loving & Letting Go and Peace.

In this reviewer's opinion, the discovery of inner truth and the ability to let it out are vital to fulfillment. -- Metaphysical Reviews, Richard Fuller

This is a terrific book for helping you make positive, profound changes in your life. -- From Convergence Magazine by Elizabeth A. Rhymer:

From the Author

Like many women I devoted most of my time to all things I thought I "should" be doing, ie childcare duties, household, the "right" career. I took care of every and everything accept myself--I was a "do-aholic." Eventually I lost who I was, felt tired all the time, and lost my passion for life. I described myself as "colorless." After years of research, study and application of the "process of change" I have organized and condensed a wide and varied field into its most essential components. After putting it all into practice in my own life, I now experience passion and vitality, beyond what I would have imagined possible. Having used these tools, concepts and processes both in workshops and one on one, they have proven to be equally effective for others. My intention with this book is to share this soul finding process in order to help people end the cycle of losing themselves, gain courage to express their truths and to make the changes necessary to lead passionate, expressive and fulfilling lives. 5.0 out of 5 stars Packed full of useful and easy self-discovery tools, April 24, 1999

This review is from: Express Yourself: Discover Your Inner Truth, Creative Self, & the Courage to Let It Out (Paperback)
Joy Freeman's "Express Yourself" is a useful example of an author who has worked hard at successfully obtaining life's "psycho-spiritual" wisdom. She then puts these insights into a book form that is easily assimulated. Her many "Try it!" excercises provided me with heartfelt and "grounded" tools that helped me transform my life into a more soul-empowered one.

I have read many "self-help" books over the years, but this book seemed a conglomeration of all other books, plus it offered me new and more powerful ways to free my soul.

My life has changed drastically to the better since reading this book.
