Jimmy and Percy laid down the blueprint with these titles. Owned it back in the day (cassette), had to pick up the double set.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Heath Brothers two separate classic jazz albums available on one CD, January 28, 2011

This review is from: Expressions of Life / In Motion (Audio CD)
My uncle in Hawaii collected bebop and modern jazz records in 78 and 33 1/3 RPM vinyl and would send me 33 1/3 RPM vinyl albums from time to time. Columbia Records released "In Motion" in 1979 and "Expressions of Life" in 1980. My uncle sent me both 33 1/3 albums. I wore both of them out. Shopping Amazon.com looking for these hard to find recordings is a habit and truly serendipitous when I find one. But to find two of these recordings for sale on one audio CD is a pure joy. Thank you Columbia Records for the re-issue of these two classic albums and thank you Amazon.com for creating an online marketplace for these jewels. I just wish that Strata-East Records and Antilles Records would re-issue some of the Heath Brothers other 33 1/3 recordings.

Warm regards and Aloha,

D. A. Rofoli

Kenai, Alaska.
