Pre measured standards make recalibration easy for those who are not full time chemists and just want to get the job done.
I use the pH meter to keep track of the boiler water in my home heating system. With four water loop zones, five pumps and a #2 oil fired cast iron boiler coupled to an automated coal fired boiler I keep my boiler water close to a 10.5 to 11 pH to avoid premature water loop and boiler failure. These standards are pricey. |
