More About the Author

Aaron Patterson is a NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY bestselling author of over a dozen novels. He writes hard-boiled thrillers and young adult fantasy. He was home-schooled and grew up in the west. Aaron loved to read as a small child and would often be found behind a book, reading one to three a day on average. This love drove him to want to write, but he never thought he had the talent. He wrote Sweet Dreams, the first book in the WJA series, in 2008. Airel is his first teen series, and plans for more to come are already in the works. He lives in Boise, Idaho with his family, Soleil, Kale and Klayton.

I started this book this afternoon, and I am so glad I made a meal that only required me to dump stuff in a pot, as I got entirely, completely, and pleasantly, LOST! I looked at the screen and it was daylight, I looked up, and it was dark! It was exciting, heart-wrenching, fast paced and explosive! At many points, I could not click the page fast enough, and my heart was at full race. I consider myself a pretty savvy mystery reader, and can usually figure out the whodoneit, the story connections, and how things might end up, but not this time! It is also apparent that Mr. Patterson has absolutely no regard for the state of a lady's makeup, as some of the very early scenes had my mascara in full run. I have no choice but to, very quickly, purchase the other books in this, and any other series, by this fabulous writer. I am an instant fan.

I started reading this book no knowing what to expect. I had not read anything by Aaron Patterson. I was absolutely and completely drawn into this book. It is an amazing read. I hated when I had to put it down. I had it in front of me every spare moment. Patterson takes the reader on a twisting, roller-coaster ride and keeps you interested in the story from beginning to end. The parallel plots are woven together nicely. I cared about the characters. I was scared for them, cried for them, laughed at them and cheered for them. I read a lot of mystery/suspense/action type novels. Patterson has a permanent place on my list of must-read authors. I am excited to read the next book.

Aaron Patterson has created a fun story in "Sweet Dreams", the first in the Mark Appleton series. The main story line does not reveal itself until well into the book, which kept me wondering "where is this guy going with this?" as I read. The action and suspense kept the story moving along at a good pace, and the twists and mysteries kept me engaged. The plot struck my imagination, but didn't go too cerebral or too crazy. It is a fun and exciting novel, that kept me entertained through out the book. The only reason I am not giving it a 4-star rating is because there was a distinct flaw in the plot, but subtle enough to probably go unnoticed by many readers, and it doesn't get in the way of the overall story too much. Still, it's a good casual read for the price.

I think this program is wonderful. Free with a minimum of clutter. And I've been introduced to a slug of new authors whose works are great reading. Looking forward to more of these in my library of "Reading - To Do's" I have downloaded so many books, I will have to take them to my grave in order to finish them all. This is another page-turner that I couldn't put down. Had to see how everything turned out. I did notice some gaps in the story line and wondered how the heroes and heroines got from A to D. Skipping B and C, of course, saved figuring out what to write and left me to think it out myself.

Truly enjoyed this book. It was a real page turner even though I did find some of the events a bit on the far fetched side. Still that's why it's called fiction. The author definitely used his imagination and managed to tie the two parallel plots together in the end. I especially enjoyed reading how he came up with the characters and the problems he encountered as a new author.

This is a very compelling story that I just couldn't put down. Lol it reminded me of Pringles once I popped it open I just couldn't stop. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys action packed stories.

I was very surprised by this book. I had no idea where it was going but I was glad to be along for the ride. I don't like to write reviews that give a synopsis of the plot or characters. I will say that it was very different from as anything I have read before and I read about four books a month. I loved the concept and really enjoyed the story. I look forward to reading the other books in the series.
