One look at the design of this ladder, and I knew that my work platform problems were solved. Besides the classic positions shown in the product description, I knew of at least 2 situations where this ladder would be a perfect fit, so I had the camera ready on 2 projects I used the ladder for (See the "customer images of this product" link). The ladder was a perfect fit in both projects that I imagined a ladder like this would be handy for. I won't bother reviewing standard use configurations like a-frame or extension uses. Think totally normal ladder as good as most and able to do things the others have not thought of yet :-)
First, the adjustment levers. The locking levers are flush mounted against the inside of each joint, and are set in from the edges of the ladder to keep them from snagging on anything if the ladder is repositioned. To open, gently pull one of the segments apart until it locks into place. To move to the next locking position, simple lift on the latch lever on each side until each locks in the open notch. Move the ladder segment to the next position (it will automatically lock in place) until you have the angle you want.
Continue unfolding until you have the structure you want. The wide thick rubber foot extenders make the ladder very stable. This amazing swiss army knife of a ladder should fit any project you might have or come up with. Use your imagination on positions. All locked positions I have found are very stable.
