I buy these Extended Versions CD's not expecting a whole lot, but I've been buying Benny Mardones releases since the early 80's and had no live material from him. This CD was a huge surprise. First the tracks since I don't see it in the description:

This was recorded on the Journey Through Time tour so is weighted heavily toward those songs - it seems like it's in Syracuse NY from his stage banter. Mardones' voice is a little rougher than expected but endearingly so. I've liked songs of his here and there after Never Run Never Hide, but there are no clunkers here. The whole set is high energy and the version of "Too Young" is killer. Maybe the best $6.99 I ever spent on a CD.

I don't generally like "live" cd's but this album is very good. I love the songs and the ones I have heard before sound like they do on a non-live album.

I'm a big Benny fan, but there's no way I can recommend this live recording. His vocals are terrible to the point where every song ends up being screamed/shouted. There are softer parts where he actually sounds like he is singing, but these are few and far between. Since I don't have any other live recordings, I don't know if he was having problems or his voice is just shot. Either way, there's no way I would have let a recording like this get released.

I just received this cd and I couldn't be more pleased. I have wished that Benny would release a concert cd and he finaly has. If you want to relive the Benny ecperience or if you have never have seen him live, this is the cd for you. I felt like I was back at The Turning Stone Casino on that night in 2002 and it was wonderful !
