I took a risk on ordering this due to the fact that there was no information on anyware on the net. I knew they had 2 previous released live songs from Quiet Riot 'Greatest Hits' (released in 1996) and a handful of live songs on their 'Live & Rare Vol. 1' CD. But, I was not disappointed. Consist of 10 songs, 2 of them (track 9 & 10 listed below) may be the ones that were on the Greatest Hits CD released in 1996. Slick Black Cadillac may be from the reissue/ remaster of 'Metal Health' that was released a few years back and the rest are unreleased live songs that were never officially released. I read years back (during the 80's)that Quiet Riot were going to release a live album. It never happened.
Here is the track listing:

Live from Pasadena Ca. 1983
1. Danger Zone
2. Run For Cover
3. Love's A Bitch
4. Anytime You Want Me
5. Cum On Feel The Noize
6. Slick Black Cadillac (possible from Metal Health reissue/remaster release)
7. Gonna Have A Riot
8. Breathless

Live from Nashville Tennessee 1983
9. Let's Get Crazy (believe this live recording was on Greatest Hits)
10. Bang Your Head (Metal Health) (also believe this was on their Greatest Hits CD)

Anyways, I like it, and I believe anyone that is or was into Quiet Riot and likes live recordings won't be disappointed. I ordered this CD 3 weeks ago, got it last week, and read on the internet this morning that Kevin Dubrow was found dead in his home Sunday Nov. 25th in Vegas. Was hoping it was a sick joke but found out it was true. RIP Kevin

This is a great sounding live show from early in the Metal Health tour. I believe most of this material was originally used on the Westwood One Radio show back in 1983.

The real bonus with this CD is trio of rare tracks included: "Anytime You Want Me" and "Gonna Have a Riot" are reminiscent of the Rhoads era material and "Danger Zone" is a really great rocker that was a leftover from Metal Health. (It was later a bonus track on the Metal Health remaster).

This Sony/BMG "Extended Version" series is a great way to find some vintage and quality live recordings. The packaging is kind of generic but you can't go wrong with the price.

Quiet Riot's extended versions cd, captures the classic 1980's lineup performing in support of their Metal Health cd. Most of the songs come from that album, however there are a few songs that I'd never heard before. The performances are good, Quiet Riot extended versions is a first rate live cd, for the money you get more than your money's worth! RIP Kevin!

Being a long time QR fan, I am biased, but simply put, if you loved Metal Health, then you'll want this cd. I'll never understand why they call them extended versions instead of calling them live recordings though. But this is a classic period/lineup Quiet Riot live show. Quality wise, it sounds like a live show, not in a bad way, but an awesome way. Great energy all around. I was too young to see them live back in 1983, so this cd is like a snap shot of what that might have been like. Everybody knows the 2 hit songs here, but in the live show the other tracks like danger zone, run for cover and breathless seem even better than the hits. If you are a fan, you need to get this. If not I would say buy Metal Health first.
