This charger works as advertised. It works with the 2 battery types that I own; a 6 cell and a 9 cell battery.
The internal battery charger on my Dell Inspiron 1526 had stopped working so I needed an alterative and tracked this down on Amazon. I am very happy and satisfied with this product. If you have a laptop and are mobile a lot, this is just what you want. Use one and charge another while you are "on the go" so you always have a spare with you.

I gave a 2 because it charges, but it does not stick to the bettery so you have to hold it while it charges (impossible) or use a book, a door, etc.
