This is one of three usb sound cards I got for my laptop after a motherboard problem killed all the audio on my laptop. This card give the laptop a second chance, as it helped return audio to my laptop. The audio this device is on par to what my entertainment PC used to output, giving good sound performance for its price. The set up for this device is easy, with no drivers needed to be installed in almost all cases (I'm not sure about non-Windows Operating Systems). Also because it's a usb device, most computers can use it.

However, even though this works well this product looks and feels cheap. It actually feels like the plastic is thin and could break in your hand if you squeeze it. Additionally because it will stick out the usb port, you could easily hit and damage it. I would recommend the "7.1 Channel USB External Sound Card Audio Adapter" that is sold on this website instead of this one because of durability issues (the links are below, they are the same product sold at two different prices).

I bought this because the microphone jack in my laptop was not working. Initially it worked well. After a few days, I had to restart my laptop every time I connected this adapter. After two weeks, the microphone stopped working and I had to dump it.
I ordered this for its price and now I realize why its so cheap!

I will never buy this again. It worked great and I had it only for a week then it broke.

It fell into three pieces as I took it out of the packaging, but I was able to use some tape to hold it together. I put it in the computer and the computer said it didn't recognize it. I tried a different slot and it was okay. It loaded quickly without any interference on the old XP machine. It appears to work all right. It is wide enough so it won't fit in some of the USB slots. I am amazed at the sound quality considering. So it fits the bill for me, I am actually quite pleased, but don't think this is anything other than very cheap.

This USB sound card is cheap and it's working great. That combo makes me a very happy customer. Although the picture shows a blue one and i got a black one. But I like black better so it don't matter to me.

The title pretty much says it all.

It was next to useless, and had bad feedback problems, and fell apart in about 4 seconds.

The sound card built in to my laptop is not that powerful even with the head phones. I usually have to crank the volume up all the way but with this I have to turn it down.
