5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT!! February 15, 2002
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I thought 'Voracious Contempt' was brutal!! Wow, 'The Extinction of Benevolence' is more brutal and heavier. Rini's vocals are even more brutal and hate inspired then one can imagine. The music is so damn heavy it will steamroll right over you. Excellent slam beats. Too bad they are not the same band today. This album was the definitive line-up!!!! I saw them in Corona California on the 'Voracious.. tour years ago and they blew me away. They made headliners Six Feet under and Immolation look like weaklings. They should bring Rini back and do a farewell tour that all of us true deathbangers would appreciate.

5.0 out of 5 stars killer!!! February 14, 2002
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
'The Extinction of Benevolence' is a masterpiece. I got this years ago and it still crushes the majority of death metal releases today. Rini's vocals are so vicious and deep-you gotta hear how long his growls are in some parts. The guitar work is excellent and heavy and the drums are brutal. Hobbie's basswork is awesome and intricate. Buy or Die!!

3.0 out of 5 stars More like 3 1/2 stars February 13, 2003
Format:Audio CD
If you thought Voracious Contempt was a cool disc-
more than likely you'll dig this one too. Although
not quite as technical or as fast as their first disc-
it's alot heavier! Personally I think the sound on this
one is better from a production point of view. The riffs
are usually cool. The vocals on this disc are godly! So why
only three and a half stars you ask? It just didn't hold my
interest throughout. I found the first track to be killer, then
the rest is okay- back to killer on "Genetic Messiah" which
shows some of the bands technical skill off. Also they do a cool version of "Conformed to Obscurity" from their 2nd demo. Overall-
there's 4 really killer tracks the others just didn't hold my interest.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Rules!!! February 4, 2002
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This cd is godly!!! This and 'voracious contempt' was and will always be IB. Everything they put out after this was garbage, especially their new recycled heap of trash ep. This cd was and still is great. They got a little too much w/the heavy bass parts though. Frank Rini's vocals are the best the band ever had and some of the deep parts he hits are so amazing! He also holds out the longest growls ever. He sings w/such hate and viciousness on this-it scares me. I used to see them live during '94-'97 and they were the best then. Bring back Frank please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!!! February 6, 2002
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
"Extinction of Benevolence" rules!!!!!!!! Plain and simple. From Frank's sick/twisted/brutal and sick vox to Miola's brutal riffing and Tolley's thunderous drums you can't go wrong w/this. Excellent follow-up and even better then the amazing 'Voracious Contempt'. Buy or die!! Bring back Rini on vox!

5.0 out of 5 stars FAT!! March 23, 2002
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
IB's guitar sound is so fat on this. Vocals are so vicious and brutal - the best I have heard. The double bass will tear you to shreds.
