We are pleased that our book Extinguishing Anxiety has been recommended by Dr. Reid Wilson of the Anxiety Disorders Treatment Center (anxieties.com).  It has also been featured by Huffington Post contributor Therese Borchard on Psychcentral.com and Beliefnet.com.  Borchard is the author of the popular book Beyond Blue.

We encourage you to visit the Anxiety Disorders Association of America at adaa.org for more information on treatment options.

It beats anything else I have read when it comes to beating anxiety. If your therapist is not practicing what is recommended in this book you should find a new one. Period.

As a therapist, I look for books to help people understand emotional dysregulation. Anxiety is expecially difficult to understand but this book walks a lay person through the anatomy of the brain structures in a way that is easily understood and usable. For anyone with an anxiety disorder, fears, I would highly recommend reading this and getting help with the application from a therapist versed in appropriate ways to help reduce and manage symptoms.
