Twins Tiki and Ronde may be heroes on the Hidden Valley Junior High football field, but as newbies on the school baseball diamond, they have a lot to learn. Still, accustomed to teamwork and leadership, their heads are in the right place (apart from that colossal collision in the outfield). This chapter book is similar in style and structure to the earlier, football-themed Tiki and Ronde series books, based on the childhoods of the Barber twins (former NFL players). While the story may be predictable, fans will enjoy the familiar characters and the very readable action scenes on the field. Grades 4-6. --Carolyn Phelan
