My husband and I have a catering business and we use a lot of ice. The plastic ice scoops don't last simply because, we can't be gentle with them, when we need to get work done. I purchased this one and I think it will last a few generations. It's so light weight, but it's one solid piece of aluminum. I wish the handle was a little bit longer, but I found that if I hold my thumb over the scoop, the handle fits in my palm and I can manage the scoop even better. Quality, size and price made me a very happy customer. Thank you!
