As a researcher in the mysteries of our Moon, Mars, Venus, etc., I know of no other book that has the kind of large photos of strange objects on the Moon such as pyramids, obelisks, domes, moving objects, etc. etc. Childress gives us the opertunity to look for ourselves at these "objects" and even get the original photos in some cases! An incredible book!

A very strong presentation for the possibility of alien life in our solar system.Many photos backed up by documentation, concerning various geologic formations that cannot be logically explained.Some astounding images of.. well.. you'll have to take my word for it. They have been published around the world. Actually - incredible.This book is an easy read. Allows the reader to judge for him/her self. An excellent introduction to the serious investigator of `hard' evidence - for the possibility of an alien presence in our solar system.One of the most important books I have read - in this subject area. I recommend this book very much - to the open minded researcher, investigator, and adventure reader.

As one who is interested in and open to the possibilities that books like these explore,I was disappointed in 'Extraterrestrial Archaeology'. It contains large amounts of material quoted from other sources (often without acknowledging those sources); the book is further padded by repetition of the same material over and over. I'm NOT just talking about redundancy (though there's plenty of that); I mean in some cases the same material is repeated word for word in different parts of the book. For instance, a quote from 'Our Moon' by Dr. H.P. Wilkins of the British Astronomical Society is repeated on pages 42, 99, and 103. Although the arrangement of the chapters is logical enough, the organization of the material within the chapters seems very haphazard. The book has neither footnotes nor an index; it does at least have a bibliography. A particularly glaring weakness is that the text and the extensive photo sections are not indexed to each other in any way, shape, or form. In fact, some of the Lunar and Martian anomalies discussed in the text are not illustated at all; this despite the crucial importance and easy availability of NASA images of the features in question. On the other hand, some of the features shown in the photo sections are never discussed in the text. Before I finish this, I have to note one particularly weird feature: An 8 page chapter, titled "The Search For Life On Mars", contains no less than 7 pages of articles from 1889-1892 debating the existance of "canals", i.e. free-flowing water on Mars. WHY? That debate was settled decades ago; not even Richard Hoagland claims that there's any question about it. In conclusion, I must regretfully say that "Extraterrestrial Archaeology" was a complete waste of time and money. After reading this book, I am NOT interested in buying anything else by David Hatcher Childress. My only remaining question about him is whether the sloppiness of this work is due to a badly organized mind or to utter, cynical contempt for his readers... I would like to repeat that I am not closed or opposed to the possibilities discussed in this book, just to the stupid and/or corrupt way they have been approached here. IMHO, Frank Kane.

Ok folks what we're dealing with here is a whacked -out cuckoo bird who's probably a few fries short of a "Happy Meal". The cover alone has been doctored to make the face appear more authentic. Come on people have you no shame?
