The book is good, well worth the money for a beginning background actor. Use the phone numbers and addresses and general info but do not believe the 'reviews'. The company is not well respected in Hollywood. Just because they imply one company is good and another is bad does not make it true. Check out other books on the same subject as well as this one. It is worth buying but just don't believe everything you read.

If you want to get into films as an extra, but don't know how, this book is all you need.It gives you all the agencies,addresses contacts; and whether or not their reputable.

[...] As a 5 year veteran of background work I looked at this book more seriously than a newcomer and although the information is available all over the internet it does bring it together under one roof. It's not that well written or up to date but for someone brand new it's a start.

this book is the most helpful and honest book i have read when it comes to this industry. the women who are telling you all about the in and outs are histerical. they accept no advertisements so they can't be paid off to give good press. they take you from step one all way thru. they even invite you to call or come in the office for any questions. the expectional thing about this book is that it is updated quaterly with new info on agencies and projects, since things change so quickly in this industry it is very needed. if you have a desire to get into this line of work this is as needed as a photo card.

Never get scammed again by agencies that ask you for too much money to join their companies. This book tells you who's legit and who's not.

After a very close examination of the material I find this to be the best source of information for the novice as well as the established Background Actor.
