A pretty lightweight read..., September 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Extranet Design and Implementation (Paperback)
This book tries to cover *everything* about extranets, from business cases to application programming to web servers to middleware to security to blah blah blah... It's a decent overview book, but as a jack-of-all-trades it is master of none.
I purchased this book to assist me with extranet design from a network and information-security perspective and was sorely disappointed.

Overview that lacks comprehensive explainations, April 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Extranet Design and Implementation (Paperback)
The book is a decent overview on extranets AND internets. However, when the author explains various technological concepts, he fails to reveal specific detail that would help comprehend the topic. This makes the book good to explain Extranet basics (Ch 1 - 4), but beyond this you may want to use other resources.
