About the Author

Marilyn Gordon is a certified hypnotherapist, teacher, speaker, healer, school director, and author with over twenty-five years of experience both teaching and healing in such areas as language arts, meditation, yoga, and hypnotherapy. She is currently the founder and director of the Center for Hypnotherapy Certification, a California state-licensed hypnotherapy school. A Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan, she has also been recognized in thirteen Who's Who's, in the Dictionary of International Biography, and Outstanding People of the Twentieth Century. She has been given two hypnosis awards from the National Guild of Hypnotists, and she writes a regular column for the Guild's "Journal of Hypnotism." She has given hundreds of workshops, retreats, trainings and seminars and has regularly appeared on radio and television. Her area of specialization is in deep inner healing of the mind, emotions, and spirit. She also works with and teaches the new leading-edge energy therapies.

Extraordinary Healing is a great book! I think it is an absolute necessity for anyone interested in personal or spiritual growth. Even if you aren't, this book will help make sense of your life and understand others around you.

I love the stories and examples the author uses throughout. It really helps to understand that not only do other people have issues, but they can be overcome by using the techniques in this book. It is truly inspiring.

This book is so encouraging, positive, and well written that you know you can overcome any challenges you have. It's not like some other books, the ones you know you can't possibly do all those things they recommend. With this book, it is laid out very clearly, and you know you can achieve your goals.

Extraordinary Healing is a very real book. It's not full of mumbo jumbo and psychological terms. It is relaxing and hopeful, and you can read it again and again.

I highly recommend this book to everyone--read it and use it. If everyone did, the world would be a very peaceful place. Enjoy!

An hour before I was to leave for my Paris honeymoon, a severe migraine headache came over me. My sister had just completed Marilyn Gordon's hypnotherapy course in Oakland, and offered to perform "tapping" to relieve my pain. Within minutes the pain disappeared. I've since read Marilyn's book twice and have learned how to do the tapping on myself, as well as several other energy therapy techniques. The book is very down to earth and quite easy to read, whether you're a novice to spirituality or an experienced healer. The information in her book has made a profound difference in my everyday life: pain management, energy flow, and relationship enhancement.

I consider Marilyn Gordon a wonderful mentor and wise teacher. I have purchased most of her materials and use them in my own practice. My work has become much more compassionate and powerful under the inspiration of Marilyn.

Extraordinary Healing is professionally written and filled with wonderful healing practices for anyone on the spiritual path. We are self-healers, and Marilyn gives us the necessary tools for personal transformation. This book is written clearly. The tools are efficient and effective. I am so grateful that Spirit led me to Marilyn!
