I purchased this book after first reading Debra Katz's book YOU ARE PSYCHIC. Let me put this bluntly, her first book totally changed my life and the way I understand this universe. This book built upon her first in such a way that no matter where you start reading, her techniques and insights WILL allow you to experience clairvoyant images. While her first book gave me the much needed pyschic bootcamp, Extraordinary Psychic provides me even more insight into all areas of the psychic arena. This book is divided into four parts, the first introducing you to the clairvoyant techniques, and she follows with a section on remote viewing. I think in this book especially she has used her years of psychic experience to glitter the chapters with stories that will help you really understand what she is describing. Also I love her use of quotes that begin each chapter, they are insightful and thought provoking. Debra gives a panoramic view of the spirit world in part three as she describes the various entities (spirits) that are always around us. I loved this chapter and found it very helpful in opening me up to the various influences that I occur in a given day. I feel part four is an invaluable part of this book as it really grounds all that she has written and allows the reader to begin the psychic journey. I really feel that Debra wrote this book with everyone in mind, she writes with authority but with so much light and humor that anyone can take it in and apply it to their lives. I highly recommend her books.....if you are seeking to develop your psychic abilities, or merely explore the possibilities, please read any of Debra's books. My life has been forever changed and reimagined for the better because of her works.

I highly recommend this book, but you may need to know a bit more about this world before you dive in. There's no fat here. Having read Carlos Castañeda's many books on Don Juan, books on Buddhism, and the more mainstream New Age by Shakti Gawain, Wayne Dyer, etc., I was ready to take my knowledge and experience to the next level.

I was at a Barnes and Noble and this book just jumped out at me! So much so that I read it breathlessly in a few days. I was impressed by her candor, honesty and integrity so much that I did something I never did before. I contacted Debra for a psychic reading by phone. While the reading wasn't earth-shattering in profundity, it has helped me greatly and proves that we are all psychic and just normal plain folks too.

I'm going back now to read her first book - which will probably clarify some of the exercises in this book.

If you thought Debra Katz' first book You Are Psychic: The Art of Clairvoyant Reading & Healing was good, you're in for a real treat with Extraordinary Psychic. While You Are Psychic gives even the absolute beginner a firm yet paced introduction to the methods, Extraordinary Psychic is far more fast-paced and covers many more techniques. Debra covers topics that she does not address in her other book like Remote Viewing and Spiritual Beings (necessary information to know if you develop your psychic abilities). I haven't finished this book, but have been thoroughly impressed with the amount of fresh information. This book would work well for both a beginner or an advanced psychic. I would recommend getting both! If you are a complete beginner, I would absolutely recommend starting with You Are Psychic and then reading Extraordinary Psychic as a sequel. However, if you must choose between the two, Extraordinary Psychic covers more ground. I have read several other books on psychic development, but haven't found anything close to the structure and specific instruction that Debra gives. Her structure is very helpful. Some books on this topic take too long to delve into the true subject, but Debra jumps right in. She has a very "can-do" attitude that is contagious. All it takes is self-determination and practice.
