I received a copy of this book for review on NetGalley

If you're looking for some inspiration to leading an extraordinary life, then this is it! In this book, Ed Marx writes about his experiences and life, and shares with us his 14 rules that he lives by every day (and rules I think everyone should live by if they wanted to live a more fulfilled life!), things like, "risk boldly and often", "build a team of life givers,""fail forward," and "volunteer till it hurts." Marx goes into each of those rules in detail in the book, sharing with us insight and advice from his own life experiences. I thought this was really enjoyable to read, and it's definitely a lot more than just a memoir. Lots to take away from, here!

This book is inspiration to the max. I was so happy when I received a copy from NetGalley for review. This is not the generic cliche inspiration but it offers deep well thought out insights into real life problems. For years I have found myself in search of the perfect way to improve myself and my life. I have learned a lot in the process but I have come to appreciate the words of those who have been through it all before me. I felt as though the author was showing me a way through the fog and it inspired me to work harder at life. I enjoyed the discourse and I thought it fit that the book was structured the way it was. This was truly a wonderful reading experience and I recommend this to everyone stuck at a crossroad unsure where to go next.

Definitely an inspirational set of personal tales of life lessons from the perspective of a person with experiences from the Army, Athletic, Healthcare and IT worlds. Also, a touch of christian influence.

Plenty of food for thought on how to get ahead in life, most of which I could relate to.
