Format: Hardcover
This is such a pompous book that it reads like a parody. Here's an early note about the correct and incorrect ways to warm up: "A warm-up in the court where the 'ordinary' game is carried on is practically nonexistent. There is much talk, particularly between women, with many balls going directly into the net..."

Then there are the examples with players named Wilhelm, Minnehaha, Cunningham, Mercedes, Benz, Lucretia and Custer.

It's a bunch of howlers from there throughout. If the book had any information that wasn't totally obvious, then the unintentional humor might be worthwhile. But the book lacks any information that wouldn't be obvious to anyone who's played the game more than a few times.

Easy read, short book, very concise, good pointers. For the seasoned player who needs a little more assistance with their game. You won't be disappointed.
