From the Author
From the ending of the cold war to negotiations for a Palestinian homeland, dramatic and unexpected changes have characterized the last decade of this century. For over 32 years, first as a member of the Peace Corps and the U.S. Diplomatic Service, and later as a director of the Fulbright Scholarship Program, I have had a special vantage point and perspective on this tide of changes that has swept over the world. I have seen first-hand some of the most devastating problems and been a party to a few relatively simple solutions which ended up improving the lives of millions of people. Experience has taught me what remains to be done to create a world that works for everyone.
During these extraordinary times, while engaged in government service, I was drawn into a personal journey from what one might call the worldly 'halls of power' to a realm of infinitely greater power and splendour, esoterically known as the Hall of Wisdom. In this latter 'supra-world' one is concerned with the inner side of life, the indwelling spiritual essence which, through continuous expansion of consciousness, can intuitively distinguish between the true and the false, the real and the unreal, and give one a quality of life undreamed of by most people today.
What I did not initially know was that many of my colleagues in government and diplomatic circles had had similar experiences and had also been contacted by members of a group of extraordinary beings, who might be called the elder brothers of humanity, custodians of the Divine Plan for our evolution. World leaders who are household names have privately confirmed their knowledge of and cooperation with this unfolding plan. And many thousands of ordinary people from all walks of life have seen, experienced, or spoken directly with one or more of these Perfected Men.
It is my intention not only to share with you my personal experiences with these beneficent Teachers, but also to provide you with a glimpse into their vast mission and the opportunities we have for collaboration.
The Path upon which I have trodden, at first unknowingly and later with serious intent, is open to all seekers after Truth and has nothing to do with one's religious affiliation or life circumstances. It is a journey of self-discovery that never ends.
Combining my experience in both the 'outer' and 'inner' worlds, and in spite of what the evening news might suggest, I have come to a place of deep conviction that the future is bright indeed. As my story unfolds in the following pages you will discover the basis for my optimism and may, perhaps, be inspired to look more deeply into the considerable body of knowledge about this 'Ageless Wisdom' which is as near as your local bookstore, your computer-or your true Self.
