Extraordinary Times Extraordinary Beings by Wayne Petersen,
This review is from: Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of an American Diplomat with Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom (Paperback)
I have read literally hundreds of spiritual books over my fifty plus years of life. Many years ago I had read about the appearance of the Maitreya through the writer/spiritual leader, Benjamin Creme. I have long since forgotten all the wonderful books I had read about this amazing Master (Maitreya) and all his helpers (the Masters of Wisdom) in spirit and in bodies. Peterson's magical tale brought back this earliest part of my spiritual book-reading and training and I shall be ever grateful for this. This book is an exciting, well-written, can't-put-it-down story of a truly extraodinary spiritual journey of a man who was somewhat reluctant to be on such a path, but ends up growing incredibly because of it. As his story builds, the miracles get better and better - and the lessons for him, deeper each time.
This is something that is a potential for everyone interested in their spiritual growth - so I know this book will light a spark in the souls of many. The other thing that was exciting to me is that Peterson even knows some of the same people I do - that is, people mentioned in his book - making his story all the more real for me personally. I loved the many miracle stories he shares in this book. The one where the Masters were teaching him to never play spiritual "prove it" is a tough lesson of the ego that EVERY person who embarks on a spritual path has to learn - and it is indeed a humbling lesson. If you are the least bit interested in the coming of the Christ for this present new age or updating yourself on the information of the Spiritual Hierarchy (as written about by Alice Baily, Ledbedder and others from earlier this century and last century) at work on this planet, this book is a must read. You won't be disappointed! I wish Mr. Petersen the best on his path and look forward to the time when our paths will cross...and they will...

Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings,
This review is from: Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of an American Diplomat with Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom (Paperback)
As a diplomat, and later as director of the Fulbright Scholarship Program, Wayne Peterson traveled circles inaccessible to most people. He had contacts at the highest levels of the White House, many foreign governments and the Vatican. This book tells the amazing story of how Mr. Peterson first met Maitreya, the Christ, and the group of highly evolved spiritual beings who surround him and oversee the evolution of our planet. It follows his career in the political halls of power, where he met many other influential people who have had similar experiences of Maitreya. All are aware that life as we know it is about to change dramatically for the better, and that they have a part to play in the transformation of our world when the time is right. A real page-turner, this book carried me from one astonishing adventure to the next - adventures which I would have had difficulty believing were it not for Mr. Peterson's credentials. His message offers us great hope during these trying times. It does corroborate Benamin Creme's information given over the last 25 years. Both men, each from different backgrounds and perspectives, assure us that the future is bright; that we have the possibility of making our world a place of peace, justice and beauty- a virtual heaven on earth.

This review is from: Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of an American Diplomat with Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom (Paperback)
Wayne Peterson offers to readers one of the most astonishing personal testimonies of our time. This book will undoubtedly shake the very social, political and religious foundations with which humanity has grown both accustomed and comfortable. In his journey, Mr. Peterson has not only been privy to the restricted, international circles and halls of power, and the leaders and individuals associated therein, but has managed to discover, unravel, and offer in this book one of the most compelling, hidden truths the world may ever hear. I can assure that any curious reader who reads this work and considers Mr. Peterson's story will never look at the world - or their life - the same again.

A Revealing Affirmation,
By Adaria (Vancouver, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of an American Diplomat with Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom (Paperback)
This book is a truly delightful account of the author's experiences with beings (Master Teachers) from another dimension of consciousness, especially that of Maitreya. For skeptics, what he relates so candidly would be very hard to swallow if were not that Mr. Peterson is now a retired American Diplomat after 30 years of government service. This fact alone (and that he is willing to speak up) lends credence to his own personal encounters and the experiences of others highly regarded in our government who are also in contact with these beings.I could write volumes on the experiences I, myself, have had on both the spiritual and mundane levels of consciousness that absolutely mirror those of Mr. Peterson. There are untold numbers of us out there also having these experiences. And they have been happening at a very quick pace particularly during the past twenty years, for one simple reason: it is time to wake up. It is time to realize that we are not alone; that we must let go of the need to "make" things happen ourselves and surrender to the unseen assistance that is always with us. Quite simply, fulfillment comes when we understand that it is the human will that desires and calls upon the divine will to fulfill. This incredible expose brings hope to all of us. That there is indeed a plan, a method to the madness, and a remedy just waiting that has the potential to end all suffering, hatred, and darkness and bring understanding to the chaos that yet envelops our world. Mr. Peterson quite eloquently and humbly reminds us of humanity's purpose. And he also offers ways for each of us to participate in bringing forth a more enlightened reality that is being birthed this very moment. I loved reading about Mr. Peterson's spiritual adventures and look forward to hearing what he may further share in the future. All in all, an awe-inspiring and thought-provoking read that not only stretches our paradigms both personally and collectively, but most importantly, offers humanity a most powerful message for the new millennium. Enjoy!

An intellectual "Road to Damascus",
By A Customer
This review is from: Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of an American Diplomat with Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom (Paperback)
This is a most exceptional book. For the first time a person of "consequence" (retired US government official) confirms the reappearance of the Christ and gives invaluable information on its impact on the political, social and economic spheres. The message of this book is so powerful and inescapable that it will prove for many an intellectual "road-to-Damascus". In less than 200 pages of gentle prose the author covers a vast range of topics and moves subtly through many levels of reading and understanding. On the outset, the book is the spiritual autobiography of a distinguished American diplomat. As a boy of four, Peterson had a vision of the Madonna, who promised he would see the Christ in his lifetime. The promise was fulfilled four decades later, in a series of astonishing experiences that set him off to a fascinating spiritual journey. His awe-inspiring meeting with Maitreya-the Christ is also the dramatic highpoint of the book. Since the early 1980s, Peterson would lead a double life: as a Washington bureaucrat with a wide range of contacts in the corridors of power, and as a spiritual pilgrim. Soon the two paths would converge, as colleagues and friends would elicit his knowledge of the Emergence story or even confide to him similar experiences with the Masters. At this point and level the book shifts gear and becomes a commentary on the Christ's mission. Peterson realizes that the presence of such extraordinary spiritual beings among us is a natural response to humanity's need for new institutions. Consciousness evolving as anything else in the universe, it is crucial it finds expression through adequate social structures. It is the purpose of the Christ to inspire us into building a safer, just and peaceful world. In fact, His work has long started. Radical changes in the political field in the last decade were inspired by the Christ, and accomplished by disciples such as Mikhail Gorbachev and Nelson Mandela. The Masters have secured the cooperation of a number of leading minds, who work behind the scenes to prepare these new structures. While many more know about the story of His reappearance, they are reluctant to talk openly for fear of condemnation. Peterson's testimonial is an invitation and call to action for them to come forward and speak out. The book closes with one of the most comprehensive and lucid accounts of the state of humanity and its future that I have ever read. The child of four in the first chapter has indeed entered the Hall of Wisdom. Reading Peterson's book made me confident about the future, recharged my spiritual batteries, and deepened my understanding of the Christ's mission. I believe it will do nothing less for millions of readers in the years to come.

Comprehensive Introduction,
By "mg247" (L.A. CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of an American Diplomat with Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom (Paperback)
Mr. Peterson has taken a subject with vast implications for the future and has sifted information about it coming from worldwide sources into a short, highly readable introductory volume. He succeeds in making comprehensible some of the more unusual stories in many of today's headlines, and sympathetically relates his own connection to the subject matter. An ideal starting point for those seeking a lucid explanation of the future of global culture, and the manner in which we are to arrive at it. Also a wonderful sort of alternative commentary on the events of our times.

Novel, invaluable, mind-opening,

This review is from: Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of an American Diplomat with Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom (Paperback)
There are things going on in the world few imagine! Mr. Peterson, who is clearly neither a fool nor a charlaton, speaks authoritatively from personal experience at the highest levels of government, industry, religion, etc.. He reveals a "hidden" order of wise and compassionate beings guiding humanity from behind the scenes--and known now--personally--to numerous heads of state and other influential world "players." This strikes me as the singularly most important book someone could read if he is interested in what is actually going on in our world, and the even-more-remarkable events which are soon to unfold. The text is simply written and engrossing, with accounts of the author's personal experience of miracles and remarkable experiences. Whether read for information or entertainment, this slender volume is one not to be missed!

Fascinating subject matter,

This review is from: Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of an American Diplomat with Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom (Paperback)
This book by Wayne Peterson is almost too good to be true. It provides evidence that we are being helped by spiritual helpers. In these times of turmoil and rapid change, it's nice to know that we are not alone. Wayne's extraordinary experiences make my head spin. I applaud his courage in coming forth with this book that I'm sure he is criticized for, because it sounds so unbelieveable. However, I've read before of equally unbelieveable experiences from others who were just as credible. Being a student of spiritual matters, I'm glad to see that the popular emphasis on spiritual matters is growing. We are in a kind of spiritual crisis and the kind of help Wayne talks about is help we sorely need. It's a hopeful book with a hopeful message and I encourage others to read it with an open mind.
