Book Description

Trilogy needs to be read in book order: FBI Special Agents Roger Dance and Paul Casey are forced to reopen the worst case of their careers. The Angels return to help, as the muderous trail leads Roger's team to New Orleans and deep into the hot, sticky swamps of Louisiana, and Mambo's hut on Honey Island. Roger and Paul unearth danger and deception in the seedy shipyards of the port, the underbelly of the city, and the heart of the French Quarter. As forces align against them, Roger crafts an extraordinary trap that reveals extreme threats and will require extreme force.

Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Over our years of friendship we have discovered that we each have a unique opinion on the afterlife. We do agree that it is a comforting thought that angels may be among us. If so, it seems only logical there may be a learning curve in passing. We are hopeful that as flawed mortals, new angels are given a great deal of patient training. This premise is a humorous secondary story line  in our books. We believe well researched, serious subject matter whether fiction or non-fiction, should be presented where good character decisions prevail.

About the Author

The staff at the bar gave us the nickname, "The Shallow End Gals." This stems from our choice to always sit at the short 'L' of the bar at lunch time. We think the name refers to the fact that there are fewer stools at this end. The full group meets two or three times a week. The conversations often resemble some bizarre internet search engine. The facts that some of us don't hear as well as we used to, and I have my own language called 'Vicki Speak', are contributors to this phenomenon. After several people suggested we should write a book, or seek professional help, we decided to try the former. We hope readers will enjoy spending a little time with us, and we welcome you to the Shallow End.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hold On For A Wild Ride! November 5, 2012
By JAL
Format:Paperback
I thought the first book was great, but what a ride you will be on when you read book two! It is a fast paced read and the characters you are going to run in to will keep you on your toes. Talk about surprises and laughs when you least expect them, you actually feel like you are there. Could not put the book down and waiting to see where we get to go in the next book. Hold on tight for a great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars I have never laughed so hard... December 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Take 5 trainee angels and an angel trainer blend them in an effort to help the FBI. Then add a tablespoon of CIA, a teaspoon of Navy and a teaspoon of National Guard and half a teaspoon of many other alphabet agencies, now pour them into the pan of New Orleans.

Bake for several hours of unstoppable action. Top it with voodoo and laugh out loud laughter. Now you have served "Extreme Heat Warning".

Though this recipe is complex and has more tentacles than an octopus, and you may need a score card to try to keep up and prevent confusion. The above recipe will prevent you from setting down this book, instead you will be hooting with laughter by the time you are half way through it, and sorry when you come to the end.

I can't wait for book 3 from the Shallow End Girls Trilogy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Five Stars fast and fun October 27, 2012
By Surfcus
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I had to stay on my toes for this book! Lots of characters and action in one of my favorite American cities! Also a mix of cultures and law enforcement departments that weave a story that goes to a international level! Sometimes I had to just stop to think back of everywhere I had been, and it all comes together beautifully. Great first book, kick butt great second book, third one should be a charm!

5.0 out of 5 stars Book 2 just a fun as book 1... August 11, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Well... this was AWESOME!!!!!!! I loved this book and the first book of the series as well. The plot was thick with twists and turns and so many characters it was like a roller coaster... Sit down and hang on cuz its going to be a great ride!!! I could not put this down - and I didn't get any sleep at all last night! I was so engrossed that as I finished reading, laughing out load, and then groaning at the ..."to be continued..." ending I saw the sun come up. And let me tell you I'd do it all over again. I really like the characters, the style of writing, the awesome story line, and most of all the laughs. Keep writing ladies... and we'll stay up together.

PS: I'm ordering book 3 now, but I might wait to read it until I get some sleep.

By Eva

This has been very entertaining and suspenseful, also it's a Hoot. Angels helping the good guys but they have to act as if they found the info. And the Angels have to learn to fly and do things you think Angels would know how to do. These girls are fantastic lovable funny and serious all at the same time. It's suspenseful, action filled, and intriguing. Recommend this trilogy to anyone looking for a serious, laughable and lovable series, Its great. On to the next one " Silent Crickets"
