4.0 out of 5 stars Hiking Pack - B.O.B.
I purchased these for some long trip Hiking, Fit everything I needed for trip, though I over packed and had way too much equipment for the hiking / camping trip. Pack was comfortable and worth the money, I believe it was a great bargin for the price. 2.0 out of 5 stars not so good. :-(
This bag started tearing out in my first backpacking trip itself. I will have to stitch it before I use it again. I wanted to return but wasn't sure if they will make the refund for this as it was already in bad shape. if u r looking for carrying less weight and only a couple of backpacking trips, go for it but if u carry tent n all and a regular backpacker, dont even...

4.0 out of 5 stars Hiking Pack - B.O.B., September 17, 2009

I purchased these for some long trip Hiking, Fit everything I needed for trip, though I over packed and had way too much equipment for the hiking / camping trip. Pack was comfortable and worth the money, I believe it was a great bargin for the price. All straps are adjustable, make sure you adjust them before hiking or it will cause un-nessesary wear on your back. Built for teenagers to adults. I set up this bag as a Break-out-bag and tested it, Passed with flying colors. It fit a 2 person tent, camping pillow, small blanket, small 1/2 gal alumium pot, emergency food, 5 bottles of water, medical supplies, axe, old military shovel (old wooden WWII one), folding saw, firestarting gear, extra set of clothes, socks, hunting supplies, compass, yada yada. Needless to say I over stuffed it, and hiked with pack loaded for 10 miles without issues except for my feet which got blisters. I lightend it after trip (which was to test what I have and what I actually needed or would need.) I believe this is the pack for anyone that can not afford the highend packs. This is the best back and least expensive for the job. This only thing I wished it had was a spot for a water badder, but I believe if you pack less then what I did, you would more then likely figured out a way to have one or fit it in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value, June 28, 2010

First off this is no North Face backpack. The internal frame is flimsy plastic and the buckles and straps are of lower quality. But the only reason you are reading this is becuase you are cheap like me. I bought this pack to do a three day hike through Haleakala on Maui with my son. When I purchased, it was under 40 dollars delivered, and I live in Hawaii. It carries a lot of gear and I had it loaded with about 50 pounds. It has 3 nice external zipper pockets that made for easy access to water and snacks. The first day was 10 miles with some steep sandy trails and up and down lava fields. The pack stayed nice and firm to my body and kept the weight on my hips despite all the twisting and turning. The shoulder straps did grind in a little. Openning and closeing the chest stap changed the pressure points on the shoulders. The real test of this pack came on the last day. My son felt sick and could not carry his pack which weighed about 18 pounds. I strapped his $160 Mountain Hardware pack to mine using the four anchor points on the very top and proceeded to hike out 10 miles, including about 3000 feet of verticle. I thought for sure that this pack would break under the weight. It handled like a champ no buckles broke no straps pulled out. I don't know how many more journeys like that it can take but it looks to be in pretty good shape. One of the buckles did break because of the airline baggage handlers. You do have to use caution when yanking on straps. I have to give this pack a 5 star review because for 40 bucks it did a great job.

This pack is built very well and has a ton of storage space!! Doesn't have a internal frame but it does have a plastic support that goes up the back of the pack to keep in rigid. Very comfortable back padding and straps.

I wish I would have never bought this as I camp quiet a lot.

I have many years experience in the military, 10 years worth. I was in the infantry, so long hikes are not new. I am very familiar with back packs and this one is so poorly made. The inner liner at the top ( used with draw string)ripped before I even got to use it. The straps came off, the material is strong but the stitching will fail quickly. Do not by this equipment. And no they do not give refunds. When I asked them to replace it I got hung up on. Not worth it. You get what you pay for.

I really was not expecting a whole lot with this pack because of the low price but it was truly a huge disappointment. I lightly packed this to see if it would fit all of my stuff and broke only when I got a few things in it. The zippers do not stay closed, I had 2 seams rip open on me immediately and the top liner ripped out when I tried to close the top. I am hoping I can return it with no issues but I suppose we will find out.

I thought it was great, very spacey and nice looking.

then when I was checking all the straps one was already broken.

To add on to that when i pulled the pull string it ripped and now theres a big whole in it

5.0 out of 5 stars So much room!, September 11, 2010

You could fit a couple of 3 year olds in this thing!
First of all, stick a few air fresheners in it for a couple of days!

I like this pack. I was able to stick six days worth of clothing in it and still had room. Didn't take it camping, just used it as a duffle bag for a trip, so I don't know how the straps will stand up to humping it around!

Only "issue" I have is that the zippers act like they're snagging on something and you just have to keep pulling them back and forth!

I got it for only 20 bucks, which I thought was a joke at the time, so I didn't expect too much from it but I'll have to hump it around and put it throught the ringer when I get a chance!

Not a bad product, a little light on the quality, but not bad at all for the price. It is very large though and should hold most anything the average sized man would be able to carry.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible backpacking bag, August 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Large Extreme Pak InvisibleTM Pattern Camouflage Backpack (Misc.)
Bought two of them for a 16day camping trip to Souther Africa in July/August 2011. Summary: Stitching is very poor, zippers break easily under any moderate load, backpack does not perform well for anything other than VERY easy use. I had a 13year old Jansport backpack that outperfromed this bag with ease. If you want your clothes to be all over the airport conveyor belt or your campsite or spend your nights mending rips in fabric and stitching straps back into place, then choose this backpack. Otherwise consider the other options. PROMPTLY.
(Pleae not this is not about the seller OK, the items cames on time and without any issues. Its the actual product performance that is poor, the seller is GREAT!!)
