Editorial Reviews

For years a secret and elite branch of the Los Angeles Police Department has operated outside of normal police guidelines in order to stalk and remove hard core criminals from the streets. The S.I.S. (Special Investigation Section) often waits for a crime to happen before it moves in. Their tactics are unconvential - bystanders and crime victims are sometimes considered necessary sacrifices - but they are extremely effective in accomplishing their primary task: getting the criminals off the streets.

Until recently, the L.A.P.D. has totally denied that such an organization exists. Now, the new L.A. Police Chief has not only acknowledged its existence, but has also promised to investigate this illegal "death squad." "Extreme Justice" is timely and controversial.

5.0 out of 5 stars better then people think, December 30, 2002
This review is from: Extreme Justice [VHS] (VHS Tape)
one thing that is eerie about this film is the fact that it was made long before the whole LAPD crash unit down fall.thats why this movie is so interesting to watch.because of the parallels with current events.its not as cliched as everyone thinks.you have vigilante cops who is protected by the powewrs that be,judges, prosecuters etc etc.some of theses people....no let me rephrase that MOST of these people actually know of the wrong doing that the SIS is doing.innocent people gets killed but its the ends that justify the means for them.the sad fact was when dan vaughn was in the street at the end of the movie saying "they love us" meaning(the citizens)of LA.
he might be right some people see it as a necessery evil but alot don't. its hard to take well protected cops down like that.but its worth watching to see what happens to them when one of them speaks

2.0 out of 5 stars Lousy acting, terrible lines, November 18, 2007
This review is from: Extreme Justice (DVD)
On boy. Lou Diamond Phillips looks like a sissy with his girly-man hair. This supposed Special Unit goes driving around in unmarked cop cars easy to follow. The bad-guys spout the usual foul-mouthed street profanity. Ahhh--- the setups are really stupid. The cop-talk is worse than the perp talk. Oh well. Sucks. Don't bother with this, unless you take it out from a library.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lots of Action and blood, June 14, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Extreme Justice [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I thought that this is a good movie if you are sick of crimials that get away with the crime. There are a lot of gun fire and they have a good cast. Lou Diamond is a very rough guy but he can be calm and nice when he wants to be.
