This is a great book for a few different reasons:

1.) There is instruction on how to do make-up - something I know NOTHING about...

2.) The author walks you through what was done on each image...

3.) The books before and afters are simply amazing....

If you're looking for a fantastic book to help guide through the glamour retouching process.....this is a GREAT one. Take a look. You won't be sorry. It is FULL of excellent nuggets!

Jerry D's Extreme Makeover Techniques for Digital Glamour Photography offers professional photographers a fine set of guidelines on how to create glamour images that bring out the best in photos. From detailed makeup techniques for sculpting the face for the camera to eliminating wrinkles and blemishes, manipulating shadows via computer, and soft-focus effects, this packs in outstanding 'before and after' shots perfect for any professional polished results.

This book is filled with great tips and tricks for glamour and boudoir photographers. Numerous corrective techniques in Photoshop are shown in step-by-step, easy to follow lessons. Each chapter details a shoot with a different model, explaining each step of the process that created the final image. Careful attention is paid to accenting the models positive features and tweaking less flattering areas. Any glamour shooter who works with Photoshop would find much to learn from here.

With the return of the glamour and boudior market, which really never should have left, this book provides a comprehensive look at the one photographers approach to the business. Often time we as photographers want to know all of the techie stuff but Jerry provides us with that but also the road map, including how he got to the destination. For the male photographer we nued to know how to treat the women and how to make the look and FEEL good and have that come across in the images. The photographer also provided the before and after images and THE WHY, he took the approach he did and WHY he choose to use the photoshop tools he did and the results.

If you were writing a term paper you would need more than one source, this book is a excellent resource for the photographer to have who wants to get into the glamour boudior market and provides you with examples and a practical guide on how to use your Photoshop tools to accmomplish the task at hand. Also i believe the PS techniquies discuss can be used in a regular photo session.

A comprehensive book aimed at making you a master at transforming your clients' galmour images into glamour masterpieces. This is accomplished through the strategic use of make up and careful use of postproduction techniques that are well outlined. The case studies will have you saying 'wow' when you compare the before and after images. Using these techniques is an easy way to build a good reputation.

The mail carrier JUST delivered this book this morning, and I've already read it cover to cover! I've tried the techniques on photos I already had and all I can say is WOW!!!!

These makeovers are pretty dramatic. Not only the addition of hair and make-up, but the modifications you can make on the photos makes every woman look like a model. I am rarely impressed by portraits, but nearly all the end results are truly knock-outs.

The author not only gives you before and after examples, but also the "in between" ones, with plenty of written instructions along the way. The models are all shapes, sizes, ages and complexions.

The photos are retouched with Photoshop, but based on all the photo editing software I have used, I believe you can accomplish the same results with any program, albeit a bit more tediously, but well worth the end results.
