.875 inch Track Pack Kit while there are many different stud patterns and combinations available on the market today the extreme max track pack is compatible with the majority of the snowmobiles on the market. Extreme max platinum series studs these amazing studs are designed to work on all tracks. They have a true 1.0 inch head and they are constructed out of military grade stainless steel. The two-step inert gas heat treatment process provides a 30 percent increase in abrasion resistance and a 25 percent increased resistance in bend resistance. These snowmobile studs come with 80 degree carbide insert tips which provide ultra-high impact and abrasion resistance. 5/16 inch body diameter 1.0 inch head 80 degree carbide insert T 25 torque insert. Extreme max snowmobile stud backers 1-1/8 inch square x .250 thick .140 inch material thickness works with any 5/16 inch stud premium heat treated aluminum. 2 year full replacement warranty, T-25 torq wrench stud installation tool makes tightening nuts a breeze. Composite handle for a secure grip, comfortable 3-1/2 inch length for easy use track template. The extreme max track template eliminates the need to remove the snowmobile track for installation. This template makes it easy to precisely place 32 scratch lines in just a few minutes. With just three easy movements of the template, studs are placed exactly over 12 ribs. This template is set up for multiple stud patterns including 72, 96, 120, and 144. Track drill 100 Percent tool steel construction cuts through track with burning, special ground cutting edge, makes installation easy. I installed these studs on a 2003 ski-doo 550 fan for last winter, installation went well although it is repetitive and tedious, I wouldn't pay someone else to do it. they worked great, I can lay down all the power that machine has on hardpack, much less sliding around, stops good, but thats about the same to me with all studs. they don't seem to be showing much wear at all, I only put on maybe 500 miles but don't see any damage. well worth the money

I did a lot of research on studs, and these studs fit the profile of a high quality stud. I wasn't positive on the size I needed so I called recdirect and a very friendly woman explained to me the size I needed and was very knowledgeable. THe kit arrived 4 days later and everything I needed to install the studs was in the box except for a 9/16" socket. The studs and hardware were exactly as described and I even had extra backers and nuts when I was done. Don't let the low price scare you, these are top quality studs. The track pattern that comes with it is 1/4" thick plastic, not some cheap piece of cardboard. My only complaint is they don't list a trail pattern on the pattern, but I just used the inside template and my pattern worked out better than an original arctic cat pattern (this only repeats 4 times, whereas the arctic cat version repeated six times). It only took about 1 hour to install 96 studs.
