From Jerry Goldsmith comes a heart pounding, teeth rattling action score that will knock you socks off and hold them to the wall. The first track is a classic, and the end title track is a melancholy "love theme" laced with angry energy. The whole album throbs!

Jerry Goldsmith's score and soundtrack to EXTREME PREJUDICE is filled the modern techno idioms but remains rooted in the Western film genre if you listen closely. Goldsmith once again hits the mark as his dynamic score reflects the characters' postures and motivations. Goldsmith uses quite a bit of techno music representing the bureaucratic covert government agents to offset the stalwart and stoic Nick Nolte, a relic of Western law enforcement, whose unyielding dedication to the law is first and foremost making him the quintessential honorable hero from an era long past. Track 12: A Deal / End Credit sums it all up with bittersweet melancholy.
