I only got this because it was free and when I was finished it ended up being 99 cents. Was not worth the price.

3 kids are dropped off by their parent at a lighthouse, where they are expected to row across a straight on their own to Weather Island, where they will be spending a week with an aunt. they have lunchboxes with peanut butter sandwiches. the parent leaves before ensuring that they row across (and why can't the parent row them across and then return??????)

bad weather suddenly appears and the kids (with no beds or furniture that is revealed in the lighthouse, and only a day's lunch), somehow end up spending 3 days at the lighthouse. apparently the aunt on Weather Island never worries that they don't show up, and doesn't contact their parents, who don't return to the lighthouse to ensure that their kids are alright.

yes, it does talk about various types of clouds and how to make a barometer. however, since this book was produced by "A+ Book Reports", I would have expected more, and there were no pictures showing how to assemble the barometer, although there were pictures of clouds.

and, at one point in the story "Liam" is suddenly referred to as "Pete".

Sorry, but not a big fan. It was educational, but not good. It was not the thing I was looking for.
