DON'T USE CHEAP 18650 batteries or you'll have the same problem as the other buyer who rated this flashlight with 1 star. The ExtremeBeam M1000 Fusion is an impressive flashlight with extreme brightness. I compared it to my Maglight rechargeable, Streamlight Stinger DS Led HP and the Pelican 7060 led. The M1000 fusion is much brighter and throws the beam at a farther distance than all of the other flashlights. The ExtremeBeam M1000 Fusion is superior. If you own a Pelican or Streamlight flashlight, you know their bright and top quality. The ExtremeBeam M1000 Fusion far exceeds either Pelican and Streamlight in brightness. The peripheral light is larger than the Streamlight Stinger DS LED HP. The M1000 Fusion is 850 lumens and has 3 modes, High, low and strobe(flash). According to ExtremeBeam, the run time on high is 6 hours and 10 hours on low. I used this flashlight on high and its run time is in fact 6 hours. The M1000 Fusion maintains the regulated 850 Lumens throughout battery life. The M1000 Fusion is a true military grade combat ready flashlight that doesn't sacrifice power for run time or visa versa. This flashlight is truly awesome in power. I've tested this flashlight in an 8 acre private park and it illuminates the whole area! To truly appreciate just how powerful this flashlight is, you must use it outdoors at night and illuminate areas or objects from far distances. This flashlight uses either (recommended) two 18650 rechargeable li-on batteries or four CR 123A rechargeable li-on batteries. Must purchase 18650 battery charger and batteries separately. Nitecore i2 or i4 battery charger is excellent with two Panasonic NCR 18650B 3400mah batteries. You could also use the ExtremeBeam 18650 charger.Read more ›

I LOVE my Extreme Beam M1000 Fusion. Yes, do not use the two small batteries that the guy used and gave this flashlight one star; they are not big enough to really see the power of this beast. Rather, use four CR123A batteries. Oh, man, this thing really does shine a mile. This is a tactical light that I use in hunting, camping, hiking and finding addresses. PERFECT for law enforcement, military, and hunters. The greatest flashlight I've ever owned!

This is the best flashlight I have ever owned, hands down. Forget about the other LED flashlights you've seen where they have to pack a punch of low-performance LED bulbs together to get usable light out of it. This thing has one really powerful LED bulb and looking at it (not recommended as it can permanently damage your eyes) would be like looking straight at the sun.

I had what I thought was a pretty good flashlight. It's meant to be a worksite flashlight. It came with a toolkit that I bought that had a drill, a saw, and a flashlight. When I got the M1000 Fusion I compared them outside my house at night and this made my former go-to light look like a toy. I pointed them each at my shed which is about 150 feet from my front door. My old light projects a pale yellow oval that is barely visible on my shed even in pitch dark. Then I turned the end of the M1000 to widen the beam a little and pointed it at my shed. It was like daytime down there, I'm not kidding. I've read other reviews making similar claims and I blew them off as hyperbole, but it's the freaking truth. And this thing throws light like crazy. I can't confirm the "over one mile" claim because I live by a small body of water and it's always a little foggy at night. The light just illuminates the fog before it gets too far. I can tell you that I shined it down the street recently and it lit up telephone poles several hundred feet away just effectively as if I was standing right it front of them.

Then there's the durability. I have not tested this. But the thing is built like a tank. There's a video on Extremebeam's site of a guy breaking through a wall with it and it still works afterwards. I don't plan on doing that anytime soon.

Fantastic product. Scares the heck out of the neighbors. They probably think it's a UFO trying to beam them up!
