I Am Extremely Absolutely Boiling (Charlie and Lola)

Lola and Charlie find themselves in the middle of a heat wave. The only thing that will cool them down is a big ice cream. When Lola offers to give Eddie a lick of her ice cream in exchange for a taste of his, Eddie accidentally knocks off her ice cream to the ground. Then to make matters worse, he won't share his. For this Lola, can not forgive him. We think that embarassement and pride keep Eddie from making the apology.

Charlie and Lola find all kinds of ways to cool off but nothing works exactly. Then they see Eddie putting up his swimming pool and Charlie suggests she asks to swim in it. But Lola still thinks he's an old meanie! When Eddie asks if she'd like to swim, Lola has to decide if being angry is that important. In the pool Eddie finally finds the courage to say he was sorry.

Nice little twisty ending in the last paragraph. As always Charlie and Lola leave me smiling.

This is an adorable book about a brother and sister who are best friends. For a family with siblings it is a must read.
I highly recommend the Dvd that goes with it. And of course I love Amazon's Prime shipping that gets it to me in two days.

We are big Charlie and Lola fans, and this is a great book in this series.

My son loves the Charlie and Lola books he had gotten from the library and when I saw these on Amazon for such reasonable prices, I had to grab a few. They are cute, cleverly written, and always address a subject my son can relate to. The author does a really good job.
