I read the book before I saw the movie and I am so glad I did.
It was hard to follow all of the conversations, partly due to the poor writing style and mostly due to the numerous conversations throughout the book.
The voices and characters throughout the story were unique and not without their issues, and that was what made them so real and sympathetic.
