A legitimate Kemetic divination system for our times!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Eye of Horus: An Oracle of Ancient Egypt (Hardcover)
I got this book and divination tool with hesitation, expecting it to be another one, maybe an interesting one. I have been involved in and learning the traditions of ancient Egypt, and I can assure you that the author is acquainted with the energies and archetypal patterns that are contained in the tablets. I have been using the system for a while and it's providing me insights and clarity on many matters. I would recommend that the reader become acquainted with the mysteries and the deities of Ancient Egypt in order to better understand the layers of meanings of the tablets, as the author's guidance, after a while, becomes too vague. His focus is positive thinking, but at times it feels like he's avoiding within the picture aspects that, as readers, we may not want to see or encounter, but that are there and are a part of everyone's life. It's up to the reader, in my belief, to determine what tablets hold 'blockages' and other negative components that every divination tool includes. The system is awesome and pretty complete, if the practitioner takes time to explore its depths and discover deeper layers of meaning. Padineba'a

This rune set is great if you love Egypt! Of course there are alot of rune sets but this one is particularly nice. 1. because of the egyptian theme; 2 because of the meditations;3 the information and history they give for each of the runes; 4 Alot of info. on the gods and goddess of ancient Egypt... This is a really good set!

I was so thrilled when what I thought was a book ended up to be a rune set. The moment I unwrapped the set I noticed they were extremely well made and felt to be well intentioned. The book that is enclosed is very informational. I personally love that at the end of each reading there is a meditation section for each tablet.

I love mystical things (Such as tarot cards) and this combined both my love of that and Egypt. The tiles are much more positive than tarot cards, and a lot more fun to read. ...

An excellent guide for intuition and knowledge already in the reader,

I got the paperback edition from a friend of mine for a birthday gift. I'm fanatical about Egypt, and even derive my personal beliefs from the ancient religion. This book provides numerous facts about Egyptian culture and the gods represented on the tablets. What's more, though, is that it seems to be quite accurate. I enjoy horoscopes and Tarot and the like for fun, but I've never taken them seriously (I mean, come on, I'm Capricorn, I'm supposed to be stable, and yet, I've never met someone less stable than I am!). These tablets make me wonder, though. They're extremely insightful. The readings I do for myself that include a stone to represent me are always accurate, and more often than not, I'm represented either by the stone that takes many charicteristics from Capricorn or stones which take charicterstics of the star signs I'm much more in line with. Doing a reading for my boyfriend, I drew out the stone that represented Aries, which he is. It's slightly eerie. But more than anything, the tablets give the reader a way to guide her (or his) intuitions and knowledge that s/he already has. If you concentrate on a question (perhaps 'should I take the promotion and move to Seattle?'), the tablets don't give you any answer--they simply give you interpretations that you must take and apply in the way you believe to be correct. It's reminiscent of a teacher holding a child's hand, "Now, is an apple red?" A guide for bringing light to things, but really, it's all in the reader already.
I would strongly recommend this set to anyone interested in fortune telling methods (like Tarot, numerology, etc) or Egypt. It makes a splendid and thoughtful gift--I would quite possibly call it the best gift anyone has ever given me.
