"Eye of the Pyramid"-A bedtime book for powerful dreams!,
By Love2Read "Liz" (Jefferson City, Tennessee) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eye of the Pyramid (Hardcover)
Terry Krohn's book is a wonderful story that scans from the time of Cleopatra to the modern world of high finance. Mr. Krohn has successfully taken the magic of the ancients and woven an intricate tale of suspense and adventure. From a mysterious cavern deep beneath the Giza plateau, a crystal scepter and orb are uncovered. Items from a civilization 50,000 years dead, their magic is discovered and harnessed by power brokers in the modern world, being used to manipulate the world economy. Only one man can undo the evil, a humble professor from Virginia with a unique gift: the gift of dreams. Through listening to his dreams he is able to decipher their plan, and use the magic of the ancients to save the day. A lot of short chapters make this an easy book to carry with you through the day and read as you can. Very good work, Mr. Krohn!

Gold Conspiracy Revealed,
By
This review is from: Eye of the Pyramid (Hardcover)
I really liked this book! Gold, secret societies, government intrigue, ancient origins - it really has something for everybody, even a touch of sci-fi. Being a 'Conspiracy' fan, I couldn't put it down. The plot is `Ludlum-like' without all the wholesale killings. It is kind of scary to think it could be true, but the writer tells a very convincing and compelling story. It makes me want to run out and buy some gold.

Interesting, intrigueing, Exciting,
This review is from: Eye of the Pyramid (Hardcover)
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. As a student of history, Krohn's writing made use of the history of the times, and wove a fascinating tale, complete with the unanswered mystery of how the coral castle was constructed by one man. I am looking forward to a sequel story.

An exciting novel about one man's discoveries,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eye of the Pyramid (Hardcover)
Eye of the Pyramid is an exciting novel about one man's discoveries leading to the secrets of a 50,000 year-old race, secrets that have been jealously hoarded and corrupted by an influential cabal known as "The Society" to promote their own greed and power-mongering. The Society's legacy has been corruption through the ages, and shadowy plots from the destruction of the Roman Empire to the assassination of Abraham Lincoln to an evil modern-day scheme hinging upon an American leader. Ancient artifacts hold the key to power beyond imagination in this enthralling and adventurous tale.

Eye of The Pyramid - great story line though needing editing,
By
This review is from: Eye of the Pyramid (Hardcover)
Although poorly edited and needing some tough love for some of the plot spoiling by the author, the story line is unique and is a captivating tale.
For a novel that was apparently produced without the assistance of a professional publisher to polish the rough edges, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the plot and the creativity of the intrigue. There is ample complexity in the historical references, and the author has earned my respect for his overall courage in tackling history's secret society conspiracy and the gold cartel with his very first book. The tie-in to the Coral Castle was both unique and fitting, and I enjoyed it immensely.

An Excellent Novel,
This review is from: Eye of the Pyramid (Hardcover)
Eye of the Pyramid is a suspense filled thriller loaded with plots and subplots. The action takes place in contemporary times as well as in historical periods. Paul Malone, the main character, is a scientist with unusual abilities who seems fated to take his place alongside such popular fictional characters as Clive Clussler's Dirk Pitt and Dan Brown's Robert Langdon. Arthor Krohn has cleverly used historical fact to support the premise that a secret society has manipulated the world's monetary systems throughout the ages for its personal gain. When Paul Malone enters the picture, he finds himself enmeshed in a modern day conspiracy without his knowledge. As the plot unfolds, the reader wonders who of the many characters are his enemies and who will ultimately come to his aid. The scenes involve a variety of real locales, including the U.S. Treasury Department, an opulent resort in the Swiss Alps, the pyramids of Egypt, and the mysterious Coral Castle in Homestead, Florida, all of which are well described and add spice to the book. Overall, the novel provides a fast-paced engaging story that includes a few thought provolking ideas. Definately a well written book that is destined for the best seller list in this reader's opinion.
