Feeling through fiction,
By Aegis (Riverside, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Eye of the Story: Selected Essays and Reviews (Paperback)
Ms. Welty shows those who are desirous of writing fiction what the object and nuances are that make for a piece of good writing. If you've heard over and over again, "don't tell it; show it" then this book will help you understand what "it" looks like.No exercises to prime the pump or brainstorming sessions here, for while those are useful for developing a skeleton, this book will help you to breathe life into your narrative.
