This product really works unlike so many other golf gimmicks on the market.

I can't tell you why, but I was striking the ball better, it was rolling better and I was making putts.
CodenGolf
I found the extra weight makes you swing through the ball with better center contact.

I am not much for gimmicky training aids but this one is no gimmick, that's for sure.

The steel balls force you to do a couple of things.

First, they force you to accelerate through impact. If you don't the ball goes nowhere and you double tap it. As you should know (if you don't) one of the keys to golf consistency is to avoid decelerating before impact. This will solve that on the putting green.

Second, they force you to hit the ball on the center of the putter face. If you don't you'll feel the grip twist in your hands one way or the other depending on the type of mis-hit. Consistent center face contact plus a confident strike at impact lead to consistent distances and speed.

Third, and probably most objectively, these steel balls create a short swing. It does so by making the player strike the put while accelerating. If you don't shorten your swing you'll hit the ball a mile past the cup when you play. It has taken me some time to get used to the short fast swing on faster greens but I'm confident it must be better to have a shorter swing. Shorter swings have less time to go bad. Shorter swings are more easily repeated. The same holds true for irons, wedges, and woods.

I highly recommend this product. I love the portability, so much so that I'm going to buy a set for my bag and keep a set in the house for "living room practice".

This is an AWESOME product. Simple, easy to use, and somehow it works. I hit about 10 putts with it, then I started putting with my Titleist.

I can't tell you why, but I was striking the ball better, it was rolling better and I was making putts. If any of the items I have in the graveyard of training aides in my basement worked anywhere near as well as this one, I wouldn't have so many of them.

I keep one in my bag and hit a few putts with it on the putting green before each round. I highly recommend it!!!

Putting with the "Balls of steel " forces you to make a solid and centered stroke :if off center or not struck solidly ,the ball doesn't go into the hole .When you have putted with the ball of steel 20 times ,just go back to the ordinary ball and you will be amazed to see how much you have improved your consistency .
Practice every day on a regular pattern :2 feet ,3 feet ,4 feet ,5 feet ,6 feet .Don't go any further from the hole .

the product lived up to its claims about being harder to putt. The weight of the balls makes you definitely concentrate on hitting the ball with the center of the putter head. It has really helped me with my putting on the golf course. Just a few putts with the balls of steel gives you the muscle memory to hit the golf ball more squarely. i really enjoy the product.

Great tranning aid, I was told about these at my local gold pro store when buying a new putter. I found the extra weight makes you
swing through the ball with better center contact. When warming up I will hit 2 or all three then 1 golf ball.

I couldn't be happier with the Balls of Steel. I was leaving putts short every single time. I got the Balls of Steel and practice with them for about 10 minutes and then putted with my normal balls for 10 minutes after that. I was draining putts immediately on the practice green. I then went out to the course and it continued. I was draining everything from 6 feet in and I even drained some 15+ footers! It has helped my putting overall but the best use is to do the drills before you go out and play. EyeLine Golf's website has a bunch of drill videos. It put the Steel balls from 3 feet out for about 5 minutes then I hit my normal balls from 15 feet out with the same stroke. Because the balls of steel are 5x heavier, you use the same stroke from 15 feet. I then go back to the balls of steel from one to four feet for a couple more mins then just put for like the next 5 or 10 minutes with my normal balls and they are literally diving into the hole. I've found that if you only have time to putt for 5 minutes or less before your round starts that you will be better off not even using the Balls of Steel because your putting will be all out of whack. You need at least 10 minutes total to warm up... 5 with the balls of steel and 5 minutes with your normal balls.

If you don't leave your putts short, then this is probably not the putting aid you want. If you leave your putts short, I can't recommend the balls of steel enough! Fast shipping. They are a little bit expensive, but I think they were worth every penny.

This product really works unlike so many other golf gimmicks on the market.
Practice with these heavy balls and you will start to stroke through every putt, even very short putts.
I'm a 6 handicap, but once in awhile I would decelerate on short putts, very helpful tool!!!
