This review is from: The Eyes of Buddha (Virgil Tibbs mystery novel) (Paperback)
With a few exceptions, John Ball never got the recognition he deserved for his fine, precise writing. I have read just about everything he has written, and he's right up there with the great writers. I also knew John when he was a reserve deputy sheriff and also working with the Pasadena Police, and when he was doing yoga and travelling. He was a good man and an enjoyable story teller. This little mystery is just another good book by John, as he takes you away to Kathmandu and other exotic settings with Investigator Virgil Tibbs. A good read while you're on the airplane or on the train, going to some exciting destination. Good work John, wherever you are in spirit!
