Overall, this is exactly the type of song you'd expect from Taylor Swift:

- "Poppy" and appeals to teen crowd...check
- Motivational lyrics...check
- Soft rock guitar rifts...check
- Catchy tune you can sing along with in the car or shower...check

In other words, fans of Taylor Swift and The Hunger Games book/movie won't be disappointed with Eyes Open.

I love all of Taylor Swift's songs. She is amazing. Her fan forever. This song follows what Katniss is going through in the Hunger Games Arena. This song makes me feel like I in the arena with her. The constant fear and the underdog.
