The reading level may be for 9-12 year olds, but I have grandchildren and I found this book fascinating. The photographs make history come alive for readers of all ages.

I don't have time to read as much as I would like to, but this book helped me know more about the men who led our country.

I'm a teacher who used this book during our class coverage of Election 2000. This book really helped the kids understand more about the Presidents of the past and what they did during their terms to make life in America better. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to know more about our Presidents.

Wow! What an awesome resource for facts about our presidents. Kids will delight in discovering interesting and obscure facts about presidents in all the little sidebars! A super resource guide or a perfect book for browsing through and re-browsing through again and again!

This short book (60 pages, excluding table of contents, etc.) is an excellent introduction to the Presidents of the United States. Each President is given between four pages (for such Presidents as Washington and Lincoln) and one paragraph (for such Presidents as Tyler and Harding). Also included are many wonderful pictures and sidebars on many subjects about the President's life and times.

This book is not just a hymn of praise to the Presidents; the book also remarks on scandals that marked some of the President's incumbency, including Nixon's cover-up, Iran-Contra, and Clinton's impeachment. Although this book was written for younger readers, it makes a great, quick read for adults as well.
