5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book, May 20, 2011
By
Cathy W (Sloatsburg, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kenya (Eyewitness Travel Guides) (Paperback)
I used this book on our recent safari trip to Kenya.
One day on the tour, our local experienced safari guide spotted and browsed the book the first time when I happened to leave it in our safari van, he said it was a wonderful book and had a lot of information which he didn't know.
The book is packed with useful information and tons of beautiful pictures and illustrations. All those background knowledge and flora and fauna identification guide made the trip much more exciting and unforgettable. Especially no other Kenya travel guide book has so much illustrated flora info.
Two thumbs up!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great guidebook, March 13, 2011
This review is from: Kenya (Eyewitness Travel Guides) (Paperback)
We're looking at going on a safari someday and this book represents some of our research. As always with DK books, there's a lot of good info, wonderful photos and great illustrations. In addition to the nature stuff there is some good material on museums, tribal culture and money. I'm looking forward to using this book when we do get to Africa!
