Fun album!!!,

This is definitely a very fun album. I heard the single "heaven" when I was visiting a friend in NYC. I liked her version so much more than the DJ Sammy one I'd been hearing on the radio back home and so I looked her up and found that she had this album released. Even though some of the songs get a little pop/cheesy, overall it is an album that I know I can put on when I need a little lift in my spirits and just want to have some fun. I haven't stopped listening to it yet! No regrets on buying this album.

I discovered Eyra when a Sam Goody store was closing down. I am VERY glad I took a chance on getting this album. I think this album along with Eyra's voice only gets better each time I listen to it. After you learn all the songs listen to this album good and loud. It'll make you get up and dance. I promise it will :)

i heard the DJ Sammy version of Heaven first and i loved it (i still love it). I just heard this Eyra Gail version and she can hardly sing at all! and for some odd reason, Eyra Gail's version has the EXACT SAME techno sounds as the version by DJ Sammy! it doesn't seem like a coincidense to me. it kinda seems like someone copied off of someone else...this whole CD is very strange with her voice everywhere. i think the DJ Sammy's Heaven is 1000 TIMES BETTER than Eyra Gail. i would not recommend this item at all; buy DJ Sammy's CD and singles instead. i'd give this CD 0 stars out of 5 if it was possible!

I first heard of Eyra when the DJ Sammy version of "Heaven" came out and a friend told me that there was another version that sounded very similar by a girl named Eyra Gail. I looked it up here at Amazona and by luck, found her cd single for "Heaven" at a newer store. My friend also told me that her friend had bought the full-length album while in New York. I was in New York two days ago and picked it up. Here's my review:1. Heaven~ Okay, if you do not like this, there is honestly something wrong with you. 5/5 2. Tell Me It's A Lie~ Not my favorite of the dance tracks on this album, but it's still worth listening to. 4/5 3. Give It To Me Straight~ I love this one! I love the chorus- really great, uptempo dance song. 5/5 4. Someone To Love~ This is a dance song, but it's slower, almost like freestyle. I like it anyway. 3/5 5. The Flame~ I knew she had done a cover of this, and I had never even heard the original, but I'm sure this one puts the original to shame. I love it- just as good as "Heaven"! 5/5 6. Missing You Tonight~ This is a ballad song. It's pretty good. 4/5 7. River Of Tears~ Another great dance song- just as good as the first few on the album. 5/5 8. Why Did You Go~ This track is an excellent dance song. Very, very good. 5/5 9. Dreams~ This is a slower song with more of an R n B beat to it. I really like it. Out of all the slower songs, this is the best one. 5/5 10. I Like The Way (You Make Me Feel)~ I don't really listen to this one that much, but I know it's not really dance, it's more fluffy pop than anything. It's okay. 2/5 11. Written On My Body~ This is just like "Dreams" almost- a slower song with an R n B beat to it. I like it. 4/5 12. I Gave You Everything~ Here, the album returns to dance music. Another great dance song on here. 5/5 13. Tell Me It's A Lie (DJ Infiniti Mix)~ This is okay. I like the original better. 2/5 14. The Flame (DJ Fluid Mix)~ This remix is just like the original, but faster. I like it a lot. 5/5 So, overall, there are eight good dance songs, two remixes and four songs that are in the ballad/fluffy pop genre. But overall, a very good album. I hope Eyra releases a second album- I would love to hear more from her.

Ok, I came across this cd by chance browsing online, the funny thing is I follow ALL forms of dance music closely and had seen the single for her version of Heaven long before DJ sammy had done it, not sure what happened to make two versions of the same song at the same time but nontheless as one reviewer said her version is slightly better. I noticed a lot of cover versions of songs up here as well which is not a bad thing if done correctly, and I can safely say that it is for the most part here, the surprise was that track 2 Tell Me Its A Lie was done by a little known group called rumourz back in 87 and it was awesome to hear it remade into a club scorcher. All in all good solid MOSTLY dance music with a sudden transition to some popcorn pop near the end of the CD, but good stuff nontheless for listeners of Dance music, Dance music fans need to add this CD to their collection. Great CD to jam too while driving!! Get it now!!

I checked out this cd because I love the song Heaven...and trust me, if you love heaven, you'll probably love the rest of the CD too. The whole album is very mainstream pop / dance and the songs totally grow on you. Eyra Gail has a very sweet voice that you could listen to over and over again...definitely has my approval.

She Has Potential...,

Eyra Gail definitely has potential to become dance music's next big thing... but this album is not going to take her to that level. You probably have heard the song "Heavan" by DJ Sammy, Eyra Gail is best known for her version of this song, which sounds very similar to the DJ Sammy version, its even slightly better in my opinion. The rest of the album simply does not match up. There is a cover version of "The Flame" on there, which is mediocre at best. This album is growing on me, and it does have some nice dance/pop tunes on there, but it's not as good as I expected. Basically, if you're looking for a good, upbeat, dance/pop album, check this out. It's not amazingly good, but its fun, and should keep you entertained.

who let her do this???,

It just about left me speachless when I heard that some new dance artist had redone "The Flame". I dashed down to the record store to get a taste at a listening booth (thank god). I was beside myself. I then saw a review on this track where her people were saying "Oh my god, nobody has ever redone this great classic song: . . . . HELLO!! Does the name ERIN HAMILTON ring a bell?? This is the song that Put Erin on the Disco DIVA map. This remake was redone by Erin in 1999 with remixes by Solar City and Rosabell. The Flame reached top ten status in Billboard dance chart. It was a HUGE ANTHEM. If this NEW remake hits the dance floor, people are going to laugh. You don't remake a song that was recently remade. Who Is going to take Eyra seriously?? A word to her camp. . . "Get original, people"

Not what i expected,

I really like the song heaven although it is originally by DJ Sammy, at least the dance version is. But this seems to be the best song on the cd. the cover of the flame which is probably the next single is pretty good too. As for the rest of the cd well it is fun dance pop but not what i expected. I really was looking for that sound from Dj Sammy, but since she redid it i guess that sound is not hers i would have to pick up the dj sammy cd for that sound. this cd is purely regular pop dance but not too much effort put into it. Seems like the album was done in a rush to be put out before the single totally fades. Overall not that bad not that good.
