5.0 out of 5 stars Hot product
Stays hot in a coat pocket for about an hour, excellent for keeping hands warm when walking dogs. Easy to activate; not too much trouble to prepare for re-use by boiling them. Intend to purchase another pair. Far better than white gas fuelled hand warmers.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good while it lasted
I liked it at first. It was compact, heated up quickly, warm enough to thaw my daughter's hands in the cold morning but not hot enough to hurt her, recharged easily. However, after boiling/charging for the second time, one corner of the plastic bag separated/opened, and white powder came out. Bye bye EZ Heat Reusable Hand Warmer....

We popped theses babies open and tested them out. They will keep your hands warm alright! Don't put them in your bare hands!

This is the junkiest reusable hand warmer I've ever purchased. I was originally drawn in by such a cheap price, which is unusually low for these types of warmers. I have a few reusable hand warmers at home, but none bad like this one. The plastic casing that holds the sodium acetate is very cheap plastic. Just by the look and feel of how thin the plastic is, I expect that the item will either split open while boiling it after a few uses or that the plastic will just crack and the sodium acetate will leak out after a few uses. The only comparison I have for this is when you buy a new bed set with comforter and all and it comes in a clear plastic square container with a zipper and the plastic is usually cracked somewhere from so many people handing the bag. This is the consistency of the plastic that contains the sodium acetate. The others that I have are encased in a thicker, more supple plastic (almost like a solid gel container) that will last the test of time. I promise you that if you buy this, it will probably work for a few uses, but in the end it will crack and leak or just split open in the boiling water needed to recharge the item. Spend more money for a better one and you won't be sorry.

Hard to use since it has to be put in boiled water. Did not retain heat for more than 60 minutes. Only retained heat for 15 minutes after 4 uses.
